I'd have to go with these 8 totally different bands then:

    RPWL - God Has Failed
    Salem - Debut
    Triumvirate - Spartacus
    Crucible - Tall Tales
Christmas - Lies to Live By
    Anekdoten - Vemod
    Starcastle - s/t
Barclay James Harvest - Barclay James Harvest and Other Stories

    and Chalkpie sings...
"one of these things is not like the other"
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

I've been hoping for a project where Adele and Anal Cunt can finally perform together.

Once those 8 groups are excluded, at least when I was growing up, it was all about the entire Gentle Giant and Zappa catalogue for me as one giant audio slab played continuously. Now- less so, but the below list could function until tomorrow. Some fun stuff like Crack the Sky music appearing on other folk's lists:

    Octopus -Gentle Giant
    Free Hand -Gentle Giant
    Uncle Meat - Zappa/Mothers
    One Size Fits All -Zappa/Mothers
    Pawnhearts-VDGG
    Still Life -VDGG
    Hamburger Concerto -Focus
    First UK album
    One of Kind -Bruford
    Emergency! -Tony Williams Lifetime

Of these, only Michæl Bolton is true prog. Anal Cunt and especially Hanson are more RIO, i.e. false prog.

He's a tad too avant-jazzy to be considered a genuine progger...

    Just saying.
