    Agusa - Högtid

This album has been mentioned in the "New Releases" thread as well as a couple of others but I felt it deserves its own. I love discoveries like this. Last year was Caillou and Grand General, this year there have been several but this one of the best. From Malmö, Sweden, comes Agusa, a relatively new band with a terrific debut album Högtid that blends instrumental psych/space rock with a touch of Scandinavian folk sound and loads of heavy organ playing. Ballsy, high-energy playing from the guitar and rhythm section as well.

I grabbed mine from Lasers Edge but it's available via several avenues, digital and hard copy as well as LP format. It was also on Progstreaming, but that page is currently not loading for me so I can't check if it's still there (but a thank you goes out to them for introducing me to Agusa in the first place! ). Sample this album and see what you think! I'd suspect this will appeal to a number of PE-ers, and it's a contender for my top 10 of 2014.

I ordered this last week after hearing a song on the site here. They have such a great sound, can't wait to spend some time with this.

Great album! I also recommend the two bands that preceded this one: Sveriges Kommuner och Landsting and Kama Loka

I enjoyed the samples in the new releases thread. I'll probably pick it up at some point.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

I'm enjoying this one a lot as well, though I feel it begins with the strongest track. Maybe further listens will make me change my mind.

The first band listed is vinyl only. Kama Loka is available on vinyl and CD. Ken had them for sale at one point I think. The CD is on Transubstans (like Agusa) so should be relatively easy to source.
