Hey Rene! Sorry I missed this earlier. You are half correct, both Dan's daughters sang on this! Voices of angels, eh?
I just saw this on Syn-Phonic, it might be available there Bill:

Please let me know if you find it!
Good luck!
Hi all!
It's so nice to see the interest in our music! Sorry, I was out of town for a bit, but I see that Denis has answered the question. It was due officially to come out Sept 15, but the cat is...
A cool thread indeed, thanks Kevin! Here's one I've done several years ago with a couple friends, one is from India who played tabla.
I loved what he and the guitar player came up with, so I hope...
That's some really beautiful music there, Alan! Doing something different these days?
Cheers!
Andy
Hi all!
I hope you are all well in these times of the Covid craziness.
It's been quite a while trying to get another album out the door. This one seems to take forever, and hopefully it's worth...
Thank Rene, I'm glad you'e diggin it! John Eyre has been playing music in the UK for quite some time, but you're right, we first worked with him on the Gentle Giant tribute albums, so when Tomas...
Thank you! I do love your signature! It raises the all time question- what is prog? :lol
Here is the purchase info on our page. If you live in Canada, we will have some available in Canada as soon as I can ship them so it would be shipped for the local postal rates.

New album from PRoPoRTIoNS is released this month, Visions From a Distant Past featuring more music from an international collaboration of musicians, two in Sweden, one in Canada, and one in...
Yes Bill, we were getting our feet wet with the first album, so that was a CDR, but this is a replicated CD. Sounds like it makes a difference for you?
We should get CDs (not CDR) some time today, so I shall update info then. You'll be able to get them from the band as well as other resellers.
Thanks for your comments and support! I can finally say the album officially released! You can listen to it here: https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/proportions2 I hope you enjoy it!
Thanks guys! Hopefully the release will be soon, maybe a couple weeks...
Ah, well, if it has some Jobson in it, that's because we do have a little inner Jobson in us, and that's a good thing! I hadn't thought of sax, that might be interesting though!
Thanks for that! Not sure about pepper as I think it creates a contrast to the rest of the parts, but I'll let that sink in for a while...
Hi all, this is a preview of a new track. I hope you can enjoy!

Thank you!!

Wow! I am really honored. I didn't see an English version on the page, but album of the month is really quite enough for now! Thanks Rene!

This thread has taken off! But this discussion could not be complete without these notable experts....

Thanks so very much! We are glad when our music can cause an endorphin release! I'll be posting a preview track for the next one when ready :):):geezer
Oh yeah! Like yourself, I have not spent a ton of $$ on equipment. And there is really good vintage audio out there. I bought my Scott amp before they had a comeback (from the 1960s) and weren't...
Good points about setting and distractions. Recreating soundstage, I'm not sure about how that works, or fails to work with earbuds & cans. The way I understand this is that soundstage (or the...
I was curious if this is more important to those who listen to prog, classical or jazz than to most other genres, but there are circumstances which might get in the way of some people having a good...
LOL! I did enjoy reading his posts! Sometimes we audiophiles need to be brought back to reality (whatever that is!)
It's funny how while working on our album, I haven't done much listening. This is cool! Played the first two tracks and I'll be checking the rest out. Definitely am diggin what I am hearing!
Hi all,
Just an update about shipping pricing for our new album, Reboot. It turns out that to lower shipping costs to outside the US, if we ship the disc and artwork alone, it can go as a...
Thanks Jerjo! I'll go there tonight...looks very interesting! Especially the curmudgeonly posts!
:)
One recording I did not see in this thread was what to my ears, has been the most needed remix of an old favorite of mine. For years, I listened to Yes' Fragile, and especially Cans and Brahms. For...
Ah, you're at the event horizon of the rabbit hole! :lol
Because so many who listen to prog, jazz, classical probably to listen to detail, I would think that the system you're listening on would be important. Is it? Or can you just listen to music through...
Thank you Rene! Just to update potential European orders, the album is now available at CD Baby. It appears their shipping is less than what we can do via the postal service. It is still directly...
Having just visited Glasgow and a distillery there, I brought back a wee bottle of Jura Prophesy, heavily peated and a tasting pack of three: Balvenie- Double Wood 12 years, Caribbean Cask 14 years...
I just visited Glasgow. I see we share similar loves, save for maybe whiskey! We did do one of the tourist trips up to and around Loch Lemond and Loch Ness. I prefer to leave the driving to those who...
Thanks! We finally do have the album available directly from me, later from CD Baby and Greg Walker (Syn-Phonic Music). Let me know if you're interested!
So the DAC and HD are probably most costly items?
Our band PRoPoRTIoNS is on Bandcamp, though I must admit, reluctantly on my part. As a consumer, my preference is hi-res, but because I haven't got a music server, I get mine through SACD or DVDa....
Wow, what a question and how long it's been running!
1. It's about creativity and fulfillment for me. A composition is like a child- you witness the beginning and maturing process whether by...
Oh, yes, another unfortunate sign of the times I was reminded by Paul's post (or actually one of the reviews on his CD Baby page):

BUT! It's not stopping...
This is due to the new shape of the music business. In the old days (like those of Close to the Edge), it not only took incredible skill and talent to be "discovered", but incredible luck! Think of...
Well thanks for that! Yes, there is something in that Swedish water that breeds good musicians! :lol|)
Sorry about the cover art...couldn't make it larger for some reason!
