And a statement from the band:
Bad News, Good News
Simon Åkesson returns to the line-up as Tomas Bodin is forced to cancel CTTE 2018 performance with Moon Safari.
Regrettably, Tomas Bodin is...
...and reached the goal one day later. Yippee!
I hoped the article mentioned that Corbyn advised every politician to listen to Marillion's latest album "F.E.A.R." (it's my advice anyway), but alas....
There are quit a lot great Dutch composers i.m.h.ol, but I'm a bit biased I guess. I would certainly recommend my two favorite ones: Rudolf Escher (M.C. Escher's halfbrother) and Tristan Keuris.
After seeing Lalle Larsson live (as substitute keyboardist for Kaipa Da Capo, playing some brilliant solos!), I couldn't resist listening his Weaveworld albums in a row, as soon as I got home.
...
Thanks for that remark! Rented it rightaway through video on demand (http://takenbystorm.vhx.tv/) and loved it!
It looks like Big Pink is rereleasing the Buckingham-Nicks album: http://www.clear-spot.nl/item/442219/buckingham_nicks_buckingham_nicks.html
I wonder if it's legal or not?
I was there and it was great! One of the singers is American, by the way: Sun Caged frontman Paul Adrian Villareal, who was living in Germany back then.
BUT... more to follow in the future,...
Thanx for mentioning me, but really: that's too much honor. It was Mr. Rustici himself who posted the link at his official Facebook page.:-)
Facebook message by John Young of Lifesigns today:
"I know some of you will already know but just to say that Cropredy was Niko's last show with the band.
He has decided it's time to move on to...
The Dutch Bertus Distribution catalogue program is showing 8/12/2016 as release date. At least since today (last time I checked it, I think about two weeks ago, the date was 7/15/2016).
My pre-ordered copy arrived today! Signed by all three!. And it sounds great! Mostly compact songs, but with a certain prog aspect to them, and of course gorgeously played.
I still haven't heard it all, but I'm very enthousiastic about this line-up. "Air Born" is also marvellously sung by Peter!
Is that Peter Jones doing the lead vocals in "Never Let Go"? Great! It brings some soul feeling to the song.
Don't forget to check out the first live double album "Golden Earring Live". Ex-Cuby + The Blizzards guitarist Eelco Gelling was a band member when they recorded that one. Great versions of the best...
I attended the release concert for "Tales From The Netherlands" in the same venue as where the album was recorded (Boerderij Zoetermeer, The Netherlands). This was with Jean Pageau and he was really...
Wow, Burning Shed sells them now. Signed!
I always knew that Jeff Beck must have recorded a lead guitar line for "The Bravery Of Being Out Of Range". But why the hell did they leave out PP Arnold's beautiful 'Just love those laser guided...
Timmy Thomas - "Why Can't We Live Together" is a famous one.
With Ton Scherpenzeel on board as keyboardist, an American tour just won't happen. Or they should ask Tom Brislin once again.
You need this, because it's the only live DVD of a PH solo concert available ánd because is was the only tour he did the Usher medley. That medley is great!
And yes, you need the PNO GTR VOX BOX....
Just another one biting the dust.
Peter Hammill issued a single as Rikki Nadir: "The Polaroid". He sounded a bit like a bar singer in this song.
Before Goblin started making soundtracks for horror movies, they were called Cherry...

There are sóóóó many bands with the same names. See for instance the numbering system in the Discogs.com database. Allmusic, however, keeps on mixing up discographies of different bands. See for...
Brilliant! Very much looking forward to this one, Rhys!
The same guy posted some more of this great show. This is his profile: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ5Ai80f4H7cGRajlA2kWFw
More about this in a new post by The Man at his Sofasound web pages: http://sofasound.com/latest.htm
I'm sure a lot of the readers will have read details in the weekly Burning Shed update by now. If not, here's the content regarding the new Hammill 'tour the force':
Unlike anything he's attempted...
Wow! A disc filled with epics in retro seventies style??
I work at a CD library and have access to wholesalers' databases. Since yesterday, I can pre-order this album as a 3CD set (and also as a single CD). When we couple this with Hammill's blog, we can...
New album is coming up next month. Available as 3CD set! Title: "All That Might Have Been". Says Hammill on Sofasound: 'As will eventually become clear upon release this album is a multi-headed beast...
In the movie world, something similar was going on with a certain somebody that would become governator.;-)
I will definitely by a copy of the physical release, Randy, as soon as it becomes available. What did I say? Two copies, in fact! Maybe you can consider a crowdfunding campaign to realize this?
I hear very heavy and very obvious late-Talk Talk influences on...
No-Man - Returning Jesus
Landberk - Indian Summer
Rain Tree Crow - Rain Tree Crow
And the records by Dutch independent artist...
Christiaan is running a year-long musical series, named The Black Codex. A bit of a Dan Brown-like fantasy story on music. Musically it's much in vein of the partly acoustic approach of "Days Of...
Maybe not exactly operating in the same genre as Al Stewart but you really should listen to Big Big Train, "English Electric Full Power" in particular. Most songs are about or inspired by English...
Official KANSAS announcement copy-pasted from Facebook:

James Taylor (nót the British organ player and nót the Kool & The Gang singer;-)) - although later albums may suffer from slick production, practically every record contains a few unmissable...
BTW, Frank Scheffer, the director, made a lot of great documentaries about influential musicians. Check out his films about Pierre Boulez, John Cage, Elliott Carter and Gustav Mahler, for instance.
No, yet another great musician that leaves us!
I saw him with ARK, just after "Burn The Sun" was released. Killer album! And his playing on that one is sóó great.
This was posted on the Mezzoforte Facebook wall today: "As a first call session guitarist in London for many years, Fridrik Karlsson has worked with many of the world's biggest stars. The latest...

I ordered it through a wholesaler and received my copy a few days ago. It needs some more spins before I can judge it though. There are quite a lot of 'normal' Hammill songs and some weird...
This was published at the Burg Herzberg Festival website earlier this week:
We are very sorry, that the Camel show has to be canceled! Below you can read the statement from the management. We will...

Camel - Music Inspired By The Snowgoose - I prefer the "A Live Record" version
Camel - Dust And Dreams - I prefer the "Never Let Go" live...
Where's the 'like' button here?:-)
Stevie Wonder - Contusion (nice proggy jazzrock instrumental on 'Songs In The Key Of Life')
Well, what else is it? There are many elements that are generally considered being 'prog' on this album. And then there's a really progressive element: Wayne manages to mix disco rhythms with a...
My 2013 Top 12, containing 30 albums (in fact, I consider all 30 of 'em Top 10 worthy. Prog (and, at least in my eyes, related) year 2013 was thát good!):
1. Steven Wilson - Official page – The...
Jeff Wayne - Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds
I always thought it was the serpent....
But I'm an athiest, so how do I know.
There's quite some time between Steve mixing and the labels releasing the stuff. So I guess he finished mixing the Yes albums months ago, maybe even more than a year ago.
I'm the friend ChrisXymphonia mentioned earlier. I ordered it though a big wholesaler, Bertus Distribution. Bertus still have stock.
There's hardly no concert footage. Most of it is from the...

Nice! And when's that European tour happening?:-)
I just watched the new Blu-Ray. I noticed his strange kind of howling, especcially in the second set. Didn't noticed it on earlier occassions. I can imagine that it's an easier way to reach high...
Maybe Stephen Malkmus knows....;-)
