Either Yanni or John Tesh.
I've never seen Bowie in concert and I'm not sure he does them anymore. I hope he tours behind this one :-)
This is a great question. If we're only talking about the actual recording and not mixing, editing, mastering, etc., I think today there is more opportunity to do it better. I kind of like the idea...
Technically, all acts are aging.
^This! These guys love to play and also love to not play! The R40 tour was great..so worth the drive from Boynton to Tampa. Cool city, too. I saw the Dan Patrick thing. No mention of the Bautista bat...
I'll bet it will be the same set with a few additions thrown in. I'm going to avoid checking the new setlist, but I think they'll try some of the stuff that they are about to do on the cruise...or...
Yes are playing 3 Florida concerts leading up to the cruise. There's no opener, so I'm wondering what's in store.
Before the last Tame Impala.
The cover..No, just kidding. Firth Of Fifth.
Carl is still playing really well...doing a decent amount of work too. I hope that the band comes to play down in S FL.
Sorry if this has been posted already. Here is a great interview from just before Christmas in '76, with Phil and Tony.

Excellent!!
Wetton's voice def held up much better. All around, he remained sharper.
They both have great voices, but Lake by far, IMO.
Buy the albums of the bands you like. Go to the gigs when possible. Introduce friends to the music.
Not quite yet, but soon-Tame Impala

I think it's crazy how many people know what "prog" is among musically enthusiastic people these days. To some degree, I think it takes some warming up to, but a decent amount of people do like...
Herman's Hermits, Jefferson Airplane and The Cranberries...just to name a few.
The actual music? No.
It's a great time for progressive music in America. Most bands do what they want, not having to follow some forced template or chase a hit single.
This is great stuff.
The title Prog God is kind of stupid, but I guess it's fun for the kids. Regardless, Tony Banks is a musical monster. I spent years just listening to his keyboard parts within the Genesis tunes...so...
This is way better than a prog god. Ladies and gentlemen...

This was magic...Thanks for sharing \m/
It's gonna take time for things to click a bit more with this lineup and even more if other members split. I'm grateful that they have Davison and Sherwood in there. They seem to be doing a good job....
Thanks :-)
Any more video clips or reviews?
Yeah man...you should have said "no comment." :oP
Hendrix.
As mentioned, you certainly have diverse tastes from various eras of music. Best to keep our ears open for new sounds as well as old.
Duke is in my current top 3 Genesis albums. The other 2 are Selling England and Trick.
loved it. thanks!
Great interview and I enjoyed the posts in this thread. I had no idea Keith did a track with Roger Daltrey. Does anyone know the story behind that?
Magnification = The official Yes condom
There is only one Yes. The Peter Banks era Yes. They haven't been on my radar since around '70.
What's more messed up, getting Davison to autograph your CTTE original vinyl, or to get Lukather to autograph Relayer?
I think the current Toto lineup is Lukather, Davison, Sherwood, White and Downes..If I'm off, it's not by much.
^So it's still "Yes" then. All in favor? :lol
OK, now that everyone here seems to be on the same page as to the future of the band, any closing remarks?
Listened to that and now Teen Town. She's so good....
I hope Yes sticks around and keeps touring..even if members have to be replaced. They've been good at that. I'm wishing Billy good luck, mainly with people giving him a chance. There will never be...
At some point, when we want to see or hear any of our favorite music, we'll have to decide which tribute band(s) do the music justice...but then again..with music like Yes has, it kind of reminds me...
I saw 2 shows back to back from Greg's Songs Of A Lifetime tour. It was really entertaining both nights in Clearwater, FL. The setlist was unique..he did some interesting covers and the Q & As were...
Not a fan of Kanye, but this thread is useless.
It's not a terrible song, but I don't like the production...the drums and vox are mixed too loud and the keyboards sound like they are just there for the hell of it.

Zappa weighs in on Progressive Rock at 5.52. Interesting stuff.
We got Knife Edge, Watcher Of The Skies, Roundabout and a few others in Tampa...Was a great appetizer :-)
This is what I felt the challenge was as well.
I start almost every show with Stravinsky's finale to the Firebird Suite as kind of a tribute...also a great Yes show intro...
I really appreciate all of the input. I'd played Five Bridges (BBC version) 2 weeks ago, so for the Nice spot, I did Rondo '69. For a 2 hour show, I didn't get to include everything, but if you did...
Thanks for your response. That's good advice. A day In The Life is on my list, but Good Vibrations is a nice one. I was considering something else off Pet Sounds, but was clutching at straws. Smile...
Hi All,
I do a radio show on Wednesday nights from 8-10PM EDT at the House Of Prog and wanted to get input from those who care to share over here at Progressive Ears. This is the basis for...
That's a hell of a lineup. I won't be on the cruise, but I'll show up at that party with those 3 acts. Three Friends..can't miss it. As far as food on cruises go...so easy to put on 10 pounds in a...
Why can't there be more articles about Robin Thicke and Kanye West? What is this crap?
ELPowell used it live when they did Holst's Mars,The Bringer Of War when they toured in '86...this probably won't be useful, but there ya go :-)
Jump the shark gets used incorrectly...it means the moment something starts to go downhill...it's directly related to the Fonz on Happy Days, water skiing in an episode and jumping over a shark. It...

If they tightened it up and put that track on steroids, I think it would sit well on HOTH or Physical Graffiti. Very funky..love the Bonham groove against Page's guitar riff. The guitar solo mainly...
