Well, it's different.
Another vote for Bare Trees here. Future Games is really good too. I loved investigating this era a few years back and found a lot to like. Bob Welch was an undersung talent with a really cool,...
Can anyone find a clip of the Ice Bridge?

I do, thanks. Very much.
Thanks for the good words, everyone! Good to hear it's an enjoyable listen. Dave has enjoyed the comments on the vid at YouTube. He said it was nice to be reminded people still care. He also gave...
I had heard the same thing so I was rather surprised when he started talking about the past. I didn't plan to go there, but once he did, why not? Although I was really more interested in what hes...
Hi, all!
I had a great chat with Canterbury keys legend Dave Stewart this week I think many of you will enjoy. It's a long one, so pack a lunch!
Also, he and Barb are playing live in London in...
So true! I was listening to that one today. I enjoy their recent work as much as their classics. They are consistently great. This album is a good companion to the previous one, Hippopotamus. I...
There's a whole LOT to like. I was into wacky, humorous music thanks to Zappa, 10cc, The Tubes and Rundgren (among others) so this wasn't too much of a stretch.
They are on tour and played GA.
A band I was oblivious of until early this year. Saw the Netflix doc and picked up a few albums. Saw them last week too. Pretty wild to have that happen so quickly. It helped to make me a fan, I...
I think the coolest take away from this chat was that this isn't going to be the last Tull album. That another is coming in early 2023.
I had a brief chat today with Ian Anderson about the new Tull album, his flute collection, what makes a Tull album vs an Ian solo album, and a couple other surprising tidbits of info. We planned to...
He was tired of touring. Never was particularly comfortable with it. So I hear....

The Tarkus issue rolled into my mailbox yesterday....
I am sure many of you remember the amazing and jovial "Uncle" Norm Nied. You will never find a bigger prog fan than Norm. He really was in many ways the heart of the midwestern league of proggers. ...
Fancy another round?
So much power wielded with such a small geetar!
Had a good chat with Pete and the guys over at SoT last night....

Yeah, it's the Reader's Poll. PROG sent an email about each category and even suggested a person to start with. In this case, Leonardo. So maybe that will give him a little push ahead of him...
I had a ticket to the Charlotte show and sold it. I've got a night of Steely Dan gig I do every year and it's the next day. Didn't feel like driving four hours and then rushing off to the gig. I...
Thanks for checking it out. Steve was real easy to chat with.
For Episode #108 we caught up with legendary "space rock" guitar pioneer Steve Hillage. Steve is busy working on a big boxed set of unreleased Gong material at the moment, which should excite fans...

Love all of side two. One of their best sides.
Here's a pretty cool chat I had with him when the album was released....

I know this popped up in a few PT related threads, but could we do a thread to discuss the new song in particular? How do you like it?

I'm glad some of you are getting so much out of it. I think Mag eats it for lunch, but that's just me.
This one finally sunk in.... I can't say I'm loving it, but I think it's a solid album that is....pleasant. The good thing is it manages to avoid the goofy sidetrack tunes that seemed to plague the...

Funny how half those were not on the 90124 album. Never heard that version of Hold On before. What a bunch of Rabin lyrical twaddle that one had. It's like all he could write was dumb relationship...
Everything he did was from the 70s. Last tour he mixed in some newer stuff, but this time it was all about a dose of the Wizard album + hits and a few deep cuts.
So glad you got to take in a live Todd show! He was in really good voice and the band was kickin!
Great to meet you as well!!
Here's a bit of the show-

I doubt you could handle this one, Ben. Good move.
Does anyone like the bonus CD better than the main one?
Been giving this new one a listen this week. My early takeaway is it hangs together as one album better than the previous one, Heaven and Earth. That one was all over the place stylistically and...
Here's a new chat with Kevin for Episode 106. It was a real pleasure to catch up with him and take a 'deep dive' into his history.

I think it's improved over the years. At least they were somewhat youthful and energetic on it. Some of what came later makes Union seem much better in comparison.
Thanks for asking! It's going well. I really should have done this sooner. I have a great staff of young individuals that are open minded about music in general and pretty knowledgeable. One guy...

This one has aged well. I miss some tasty guitar solos, but everything else is on point.
Hmmm.... Was it Henry that said there were three or so semi great-tracks, a bunch of ok ones and a couple that are 'embarrassing'. That's pretty much how it sounded to me, though I didn't think...
Well.... I heard it.
Didn't realize it took as long as it did. Thanks for your patience.
I caught up with Aymeric and Henry today and we discussed King Crimson's history since 1975, right up to this day. We have a third and final installment in this KC series coming up in a couple...
