This reminds me of Steven Wilson back in his i pod smashing days saying in a disdainful tone "I even saw someone listening to music on their phone the other day!"

Indeed ;) There's a quote from Rick saying something like 'during CTTE we were all really into it' - with a photo of the band all sitting at the mixing desk with their hands on the faders except...
I bought that issue a few weeks ago, wish I hadn't bothered, not much in it of any interest. There's a Yes feature re the making of CTTE but I've heard it all before.

Fantastic interveiw, thanks.

I really love FON too although there are a few weak tracks, I remember reading the band were not happy about the strength of the songs on the album.

Hmm, but what is Prog? [emoji6]

Yep, just like the last one [emoji6]

I have enjoyed all the interviews you've done Sean, great work. By the way, I hope you enjoy your new job.

I like DT but they should not have anything even in a top 20...imho of course :)

This guy is no slouch on the bass. Certainly a more aggressive and upfront sound than Colin Edwin.

A new single from Mantra Vega, the project led by Heather Findlay & Dave Kerzner in support of Ukraine. It's Bandcamp Friday!

Thanks for posting, after all these years Steve Howe is still my no.1 guitar hero.
I've been enjoying some of the videos I've seen lately and the lack of Marko isn't a problem for me. However I am puzzled by the new bass player because his playing style is nothing like Marko...
Listening to The Quest right now, I likes it !
(But fully understand if others don't)

Thanks for this Sean, such a talented and interesting guy.
Agreed 100%.
Yeah, the more snoozey the better [emoji6]

It's good news if true, at least there's something going on. It's puzzling though that they did so little to promote The Quest but I hope they believe in it enough to play some of it live.
Well I guess the live show included in the new set kind of makes Exit Stage Left redundant. I've just started reading Martin Popoff's book 'Limelight-Rush In The 80's and got to the Exit Stage Left...
The Exit Stage Left tour was my first Rush show at Wembley Arena, happy days.
Er, Alan is actually Scottish :lol
I had never heard of this guy but he seems like a great singer & instrumentalist, good luck to all aboard the Big Big Train.
I haven't watched this yet but should be interesting:

It will be interesting to find out more in time about The Harmony Codex. He has previously said it will be another electronic project but since the relative failure of TFB I wonder if he may change...
Eloy - Planets and Time To Turn in particular.
Fresq by Mysterkah - a French prog group released on Cyclops in 2002, there are some copies on E Bay UK, nothing on You Tube sadly.

I haven't heard it yet but totally agree. If they reissued Exit Stage Left as a triple album it would fly off the shelves.

That was really good, thanks for posting.
It could be messy, Downes concerns me the most perhaps but kudos to them for staying with the plan to play it.

I was thinking of getting the deluxe edition with the Blu Ray that includes a Dolby Atmos mix. I know this may be a BIG subject but does anyone know the cheapest/easiest way to get Atmos on...
Any mention of Colosseum II gets my interest, listening now. The sad thing is that Gary Moore was talking to Don Airey about doing a Colosseum II tour just before he sadly died. I also believe Don...
Good to now have an answer, they had obviously been trying to save the Euro 2022 dates but run out of rope. Hopefully we'll see Relayer in the UK next year?
Yes agreed, I think Ian Anderson's voice is more exposed in the music of Tull and especially (to get back on topic) without a guitarist!
It's interesting how people often complain about vocalists not being able to sing any more. If one of my fave bands singer really couldn't sing anymore I wouldn't want to see them and yet I forgave...
No not mentioned in the book.

I was thinking this is just a series of mistakes but if so they keep on making them.Perhaps the Euro shows will be postponed to next year but it's getting late in the day.
Thanks for posting this, only about half way through so far but very enjoyable.
Thanks for this rael, once again a very good documentary - in fact I shall play Duke this evening - long overdue.
(Spoilers ahead). I've nearly read it twice now and have enjoyed it so much. I have always found SW's thoughts and opinions interesting over the years even if I don't always agree with him but mostly...
I get the impression from the book that Edwin was not only not getting on with SW but at least one other band member too which likely tipped the balance. Mind you, I forget which ones but SW played...
It is also very similar to a segment of IQ's The Last Human Gateway but that of course came afterwards.
There are some answers in Steven's book, not the full explicit details but it seems he wasn't invited and I would imagine CE didn't want to be there either. People don't like to do their dirty...
I very much doubt that they would play Relayer in mainland Europe and then switch to CTTE for the UK, that would make no sense whatsoever even though this is Yes where anything can happen it seems....
I imagine that many people attending won't actually know that Yes have changed their plans and are playing CTTE instead of Relayer. They might start off thinking 'wow we're getting CTTE as well'...
I guess that very few people are interested in Solstice around here but if you listened you might like them.

Its all very strange, they've said they're not playing Relayer and yet the Euro shows are listed as such, makes me wonder if they're gonna cancel them, that's just my speculation of course, you have...
Love them guys.

I don't think it is glossed over at all, of course it can still be 'spin' but when more people have actually read the book they will come to their own conclusions; SW's version of events is pretty...
It is a really good read, not the usual rock biography but lots of interesting stories, thoughts & factoids from his personal and professional life. Towards the end SW does finally shed a little...
Have a look here

Great solo from Gilmour but the vocals sound like they belong on another song, what the hell, it's for a good cause.
There is also a Blue Plaque in memory Keith that was fitted on the outside of the Worthing Assembly Hall in early 2020. This is a small local civic hall where for example I have seen Rick Wakeman...
Happy Birthday Steve!:)
Here's a good new interview with SW in which he discusses his record collection amongst other things. Incidentally I've just started reading his book which looks really interesting.

I too missed the Seconds Out tour that came close to my home last year, I'll make up for it this year when he comes back in the autumn. Happy fondling ;)
I really like Duke, the last great Genesis album, although it took me years to hear it due to being put off by TIOA and Misunderstanding. For anyone who hasn't heard them the 2 tracks left off the...
