R30 and Snakes and Arrows: Live are my top picks
R30 is a must. They played Bangkok.
S/A:Live - Great live versions of 9 songs from S/A
Others in preferred order
Rush in Rio - They guy...
It would be interesting to see a list of personal memories from the fans about the shows. I would have to mention the April 10, 1988 show at Hara Arena in Dayton Ohio. Last show of the US leg, no...

There are some great metal Christmas songs of the Rob Halford CD. Deck the Hall is my favorite.
I am still waiting on a proper tour of Journey Through Time with Gregg and Neal. They only played a few west coast dates but the clips I have seen were great. Deen Castronovo handled the drums and...
At the young age of 5, I was exposed to Vanilla Fudge and Dark Side of the Moon by my older brother nightly. I still remember the posters and stickers that came with DSOTM. My brother moved out a...
I wouldn't say completely flattened out. The Heat Goes On is one my favorite Asia song.
Many years ago, I would occasionally email him and he always took time to reply. Guitar geek stuff.
I wish he could bring Greg back.
My first exposure to Camel was on MTV. They used to play West Berlin a lot. I worked my way back from there. Snow Goose is my favorite.
Steve Smith just posted a picture of the Howe, Bruford, White table.

I would much rather hear Journey do a song with Greg Rolie on vocals.
Need more cowbell
Would love to hear Love Under Fire on the new tour. The version with Greg Lake on vocals is pretty good too.
I would agree with you on Marillion. The second best opening act was Tommy Shaw on the Hold Your Fire tour.
Eric Johnson was the opening act at the Richfield show. I do not recall any boos.
Fayrewether is a really good Genesis tribute band from Ohio. They also do some Tull stuff.

I read somewhere that he used a Strat for most of the CD. Still using PRS live.
Emily sounds a lot like Shadows and Light from Joni Mitchel. My daughter is a big Esperanza fan so I made her listen to Shadows and Light and she agreed. Emily is definitely worth a listen.
Maybe he used an arpegiator on the original Losin' It record too. Geddy never played all of the keyboard note on Vitial Signs either.
The album was not that bad. There were some decent prog-pop songs on it. The live show was really good.
There are so many to pick from. I am partial to I'm Running. I was lucky enough to be at one of the four shows where they played it.
Sublime - Sublime. For some reason that CD always makes me think of summer.
There are also a lot of songs from the 70s that I remember hearing a the local swimming pool. The pool blasted CKLW...
They have been sound checking one of the never been played live songs(Losing It) a lot on this tour. Hoping they will play it soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdI_R6zwfWk&feature=youtu.be
I am hoping for a small acoustic set this tour to give Neil a little break. Tears would be perfect. Different Strings would be nice too.
I am really hoping the do a small acoustic set. They have done it before
You could always get some drum shoes endorsed by Neil Peart. 5124
She's A Woman - Jeff Beck
Don't forget about the cover songs the Beatles recorded. Til There Was You is a amazing cover. The guitar solo never gets old.
You're Gettin' Even While I'm Gettin' Odd
The Smoker You Drink, the Player You Get
Alex trolling Rush fans again. We always fall for the "more obscure corners of their catalog" comment.
That is the case in some instances, especially for Rush. There are other musical reasons. Tuning down a 1/2 step adds just a little more low end to your sound. Any keyboard playing blues should...
Here is my latest addition, a freshly finished first guitar. Working on a fretless bass now.

Are you talking about the PMG Companion vol. I and II? Amazing stuff. I read a couple years ago that Vol III is in the works. Still haven't seen it.

Transatlantic - The Whirlwind
I completely agree. YYZ is also pretty catchy. The version on Rush in Rio proves that, then audience is singing along with it.
Here are a few others:
Where's My Thing - Rush
Los Endos -...
Just about everything from Sigur Rós.
Thanks for the correction. I keep forgetting they didn't do BU2B on this tour.
I have watched it through the CA songs. It has been very difficult to find the time to watch the entire DVD. The DVD starts with the strings doing a little soundcheck. Geddy, Alex and Neil come...
Here a great clip of Root of Coincidence

Proof that it isn't the drums, it's the drummer.

I liked the CD more than Union. Fist of Fire is one of my favorite tracks on the CD.
The ABWH tour was pretty awesome. Tony Levin on bass. The Wakeman solo on that tour was spectacular.
I usually spend about 1 hour on guitar every night sometimes more, about 45 minutes on drums and 45 minutes on keys or learning something new about my hardware/software. I pick up the bass once or...
Rolling Stone is streaming the remixed Vapor Trails. It sounds sound much better.

I wasn't that impressed on the first listen. I gave it a spin today and really like it. I guess this is why I have a two listen rule for any new release.
The intro to Illumination Theory is a...
Drawing on the musical stylings of legendary prog rockers such as Yes, Genesis, and King Crimson, Underwood’s bombastic performance is reportedly marked by shifting time signatures, lengthy...
A Tele is the next guitar on my wishlist. I feel they are associated with chicken-pickin too much, I am sure there are ways to get some great sounds out of it. Springsteen does some good things...
Marillion - Sugar Mice
Rush - Fear Trilogy
Transatlantic - The Whirlwind (entire CD)
Kansas - Portrait (He Knew),
I agree. I started out on Cakewalk/Sonar and recently switched to Reaper and never went back. There are a bunch of great online tutorials for Reaper.
They have also ran the UM at Red Rocks over the weekend.
I think the next tour should be titled The Instrumentals. The majority of show would be all of the instrumentals. The R30 tour opening medley shows that some of there early songs could be reworked...
My wife encouraged me to go. Hopefully, I will find a good deal on an electric drum kit.
This event looks pretty amazing.

First rule of Usenet. We do not talk about Usenet.
Thanks
I would describe is a good late night relaxation CD. A couple of Journey ballads, but the rest is very different.
