I like the last 2 albums.
I've been waiting to get this. Amazon has had it for a while, but I wanted to get it elsewhere. Showed up at LE a day or so ago. Will be in my next order. They're really great live.
Still vaporware I think.
H&H / Mob Rules are essential. But another 2 favorites of mine are Seventh Star and Eternal Idol. Outstanding material.
I'll probably get the new box set but disappointed Eternal Idol wasn't...
Well, that took long. The 3 octave has a TRS midi output. Done. Purchase in progress!!!
Dammit. Stop spending my money that I haven't made yet!
Looks like I missed out on the early bird for the extra savings.
Just have to decide on 2 or 3 octave for about $120 diff. Only 6" length...
Nice. I missed hearing the full brass section in NJ. Still outstanding shows. And yeah, the harmonies were really nice.
A long time ago I bought a Kontakt set of 2 instruments but i don't recall from where. I think it was an individual. They were an RMI and a Pro Soloist sample set. Sounded good enough at the time. ...
Looking forward to watching this as your docs are always great. Thank you for all the time and effort put into these.
I was also going to site Sgt Pepper as well as Days of Future Past sparking...
Real Dolby Atmos set up? I don't know about real, but i have 2 rooms with Atmos.
Rob Aubrey is their sound engineer. The sound was great in NJ for most the venue, though not as good for those sitting close to the stage.
Sounds about right. Someone after the show said 6. I dunno. That's one of those bands I don't learn most of the song names. I just put the albums on and listen. I was really happy both nights....
Two great shows in NJ. More like the Rikard & Nick show. What a great weekend.
I want to see the show first. I'll buy the blu-ray there.
The 2 TD box sets cover 1973-1983 where my sweet spot lies. Of course I haven't had time to spin any of this yet as I probably have more new music lying around than I have life cycles left to hear it...
I dropped Sirius when they moved Deep Tracks out of my range. They keep sending me "We miss you" mailers. F them.
They added a trumpet player to the US gigs, so light brass presence.
I'll be buying the new album at the NJ shows.
Echoes played Phaedra last night to celebrate it's 50th annv.
I like Underwater Sunlight, but my favorite material is 1976-1983.
I used to listen to Stratosphere a lot when I was in college.
For playing a "real" rock piano cover, the Whirly and Rhodes never sounded right. As bad as the RMI sounded, it fit more into those piano pieces. I REALLY hate to use Freebird as an example, but a...
EMU Proformance was great at the time. I used that live for a while and was the best option I had. I couldn't afford to use the memory in the EPS16+ or the Emax for piano.
Yeah, that was it. Guess I was thinking of the band!
I used to borrow an RMI piano playing with a band in high school (1980-2). Awful sound, but it was either that or my Whirly A200, which I had to use when I couldn't get the RMI. Used to have to open...
I mean, it sounded like a CP70, sooooooooooo.....
Use those samples?
I have a CP70 sample set I got from Prominy a long time ago that sounds fantastic. Kontakt instrument. Large and hi res.
I...
Kawai also made a CP70 style piano. My friend in 805 had one and he said he preferred that over the Yamaha because it stayed in tune when you dismantled it.
Mine shipped from UK but not here yet.
I'm looking forward to it. I thought the last album was a step up.
Looks good. Bit pricey though.
Thanks much for the offer. We had to have 2 walls opened up (finished basement) to find the problem source and install new drainpipe and reinforce the problem area (around old cement staircase under...
Oh yeah, thanks for that link.
Stereo pair makes all the difference in the world with that Pro-800.
The fact you can alter each side independently like this is immensely useful.
I'll have to try...
Saw this yesterday. I particularly liked this:
Hackett despairs at what he sees as its formulaic quality: “Songs that have got an awful lot of vocal embellishment,” he says, with barely disguised...
I said it before, Jon and the Geeks were the best Yes show I've seen since the Masterworks tour. The energy was amazing.
We had tix to see them in Quebec City in May 2020, then, well, you know what happened. Not sure if they had been in CA before but I think that was going to be their first time.
Then we had tix to...
That's great. 1978-1983. The making of video was cool. Great info. Richie the overachiever!
Autobuy!
**one cut from 2016
Our Weis grocery stores play classic rock and I couldn't be happier. I usually hear something decent in my trips there.
This as opposed to our last trip to the Fort Meade PX, where out of 1 corner...
Blimey! That's great Batts-man!
I have the XK-1c. Its nice, but not thrilled with all the plastic.
Maybe the leslie is better on the new ones. I got a Ventilator 2 to enhance it.
We'd love to go but just can't afford the trip.
We went in 2011. Best music fest we've ever been to. Maybe because Eloy was there!
However its a little rough to sit through depending on the...
Well, since this is bit different BC purchase day list, I'll post it:
LUZ DE RIADA - Rizoma
Nospun - Opus
Nexus - Insania
Zombi - Direct Inject (preorder)
John Irvine Band - The Starships Are...
If you want to save something you're not buying right away, put it in your wishlist.
I'm sure they clean out the carts regularly so it doesn't screw with their numbers, or just housekeeping.
I've...
Gleb's solo albums are absolutely outstanding. What a talent. Hope all turns out well for them.
Makes me a little sick thinking the first drum machine I bought was a spanking new SCI Drumtraks for $1k!
Hmmm. I have a Steinberg UR816C and it works fine in Cubase 13, Wavelab 12, and Spectra Layers 10.
I use the Yamaha/Steinberg ASIO. Steinberg has added a (native?) driver that increases the latency...
We'll be there. Maybe we can meet up this time!
Check out the video/audio samples on the website.
Big RPWL fans, wish they had 2 nights of their own stuff though. Would like to hear Opel live...

Nice. Thanks.
Awesome. Here's to another 25!
Thank you guys for all the hard work.
I do believe its time for another donation!
Slainte Mhath!
WTF! You gotta be kidding. That was it. Thanks Dan! Much appreciated. Lotta tix sold already.
Presale code for Scottish Rite? Anyone? Before tomorrow 10am?
Their last album was one of my favorites of the year. Great show at Progstock. Hoping for a return there.
On a different note, Cherry Audio just released a plugin manager to handle installs and updates. Very welcome for someone that owns a ton of Cherry plugs.
I don't like downloads only but I'll get them if the material is that good.
...or UK shipping is astronomical!
I do well with CDS out of Scotland though. Ordered new Pallas mediabook today.
Here's some info on Best Buy:
There are reports that Best Buy has already begun to remove physical film and television media from stores.
You can still buy movies on its website, but looking at...
More and more streaming services are inundating the content with ads.
I've had enough of that BS.
I'll continue buying physical product or at least something downloadable that isn't available...
Seems that physical media purchases are rising due to people finally realizing that streaming isn't forever.
From ./slashdot:
DVD Resurgence To Prevent Films From Disappearing (bbc.com)...
There's one far worse than Ozempic. I think its Jardiance. We literally scramble for the remote mute button as soon as it appears. God awful.
YES! Brown Eyed Girl is one of my absolutely most hated songs of all time!
Playing in a PF tribute band 30 yrs ago, I got really sick of Money and Comfortably Numb. Can't really take either anymore.
His career died long before him! I thought he passed decades ago. I can still picture those awful suits he wore.
I liked the last release and heard some of this on progrock.com. It's on my next order list. Good stuff!
