I thought that Steve Morse had retired from touring to take care of his wife when he left Deep Purple. Guess I heard wrong...count me confused.

Damn Spacefreak I've got about 2/3 of those bands. Some great stuff.
Saw them in Philly too. I agree about Gavin making them a better band but Beren also did that filling out their sound.
JKL love the Mad Puppet. Haven't heard the other 2.
Vanilla Queen-Golden Earring
Feel The Benefit-10CC
Solar Music-Grobschnitt
"It’s funny...As of late I have been using some of my stay at home time to go through old “stuff” of mine...music related and otherwise and I came across a ton of old record dealer catalogs and there...
Sorry to hear that. Got turned on to P.O. by Michael Piper. Liked everything they put out.
I'm with you aith01. I have never understood why people will go to threads and comment on bands they don't like or have no interest in. I personally think it has to do with just starting shit.
Riverside
I always dug the vocal interplay on their albums. Liked them all but my fave is The Day The Earth Caught Fire.
Marc Atkinson has one of the finest voices in all of music.
Thank you.
This is the home page of Progressive Promotion Records https://progressive-promotion.de/index.html. Does anybody know the song that is playing on the home page? Thanks
John
Never been the standing type. I went to my first show at 16 y.o. and sat for the whole show and I didn't have a problem. I pay for a seat I want to enjoy that seat. I don't want some asshole standing...
I miss them too. Thought their output from Up The Downstair to Fear Of A Blank Planet was really good. The Incident I liked about half of. It was only ok to me. That's how I have felt about Steven's...
JKL2000-So people seem really divided on Cyclorama. But I don't think I've heard anything negative about Big Bang Theory. How good is that? Is it like classic Styx? I haven't heard either...
It's Better than their last one.
Any Rosfest reviews and who was the mystery band at 5 on Saturday?
Nope I don't really buy Yes records. I think the last one I got was Big Generator.
yamishogun;690088]Maybe because they are Yes and will put out Yes music this year? Let's see what the Heaven & Earth gang will put out in 2018. or 2019. or 2020. or 2021. or...
Well actually they...
Heard an ad on a Philly station and ARW are being billed as Yes.
Ah yes Nelson Ledges Park. Scene of 3 memorable Strangedaze fests.
My best to worse for the fest went as follows:
No More Pain
Zebra
Comedy Of Errors
Dave Kerzner
Magic Pie
Spock's Beard
The Fringe
Strawbs
Solar Music Live-Great
Have all Their stuff and like them all. I think Olivia Sparnenn has done a fine job taking over for Heather. Mantra Vega didn't do too much for me. I was disappointed. Don't know why.
Yes go see them. I saw them in October and they were great. It's about the 7th time I have seen them and no loss with the different band members. They are saying they hope to be releasing that 2nd cd...
Also the first one labeled Polaris is also the Dutch Band and it's called Cross Talking.
Actually the one labeled Destiny is the Dutch band Cargo doing Finding Out and the one labeled I Have Seen is the once again the Dutch band doing Sail Inside.
Saw them at the Luna Light fest. They played 2 different days and were great.

Well I think it is up to the performer to do what ever he or she wants and audience should shut their mouths during the performance. I hate it when concerts turn into some kind of...
Agreed that the new Martin Turner cd is very good.
Damn straight
Guess it depends on what you mean by success. To me none of the bands mentioned in this thread went on to huge success. At least not that I recall here in the States.
I was at Nearfest 2010 and I don't believe QF was there and looking up the past performers on the NF website they weren't there and I don't see them in 2009 NF either. I know they were supposed to...
My fav BTO album and heavy was the word. Back in the day when FM stations played whole albums the one in Baltimore WKTK played Not Fragile when it came out and it just blew me away. Not Fragile, Roll...
KGHofSF;-First off I'm going to say that any such list has to include Pink Floyd and Hawkwind as the 2 big Kahunas of the 1970s in space rock. You can, if you wish, drag in Sun Ra from the world of...
Wishbone Ash
Golden Earring
Uriah Heep
Y & T
Triumph
I'll go with Home by Dream Theater
Have them all. The Day The Earth Caught Fire is my favorite. They always reminded me of 10CC vocally as someone else mentioned. Agree also with act that there is something on all of the albums. Some...
AstroProg saidI love RosFest and the diehard fans that have kept this festival going when others have faded into the dust. I do have to say, however, that there is a disturbing trend that seems to...
miamiscot said:I love every single Radiohead song ever recorded. There. I said it.
Yep you said it but it has nothing to do with the question posed by the title of the thread.
Personally I like all the eras of the Ash. Some bands to check out under the like part of this thread:
Plankton
Serpent Throne
The Flying Ryan Brothers
Sorry for your loss. I never met either you or Kay but I have seen you both at Rosfest many times. Take care.
Damn nice
I'm with you Harbinger....I come on here every day and I missed the announcement.
NogbadTheBad said I just wish he'd pick another name for the band.
I'm with you on this. I like Nik and I will be at the Sellersville show to see him but he is not in Hawkwind and he doesn't have...
One of my fav BJH albums but I like them all.
Cosmograf would be good as well.
Michael Piper also turned me on to this band. Guy knew his shit. He is missed.
Airbag
Nine Stones Close
Final Conflict
Threshold
Panic Room, Karnataka, Mostly Autumn, Lana Lane, Within Temptation, Delain (one of those)
Primitive Instinct
John Payne's Asia
Les Holroyd's...
Thought about going to it til I realized I already had tickets to Rosfest. Amazing lineup of just the bands I've heard of. Thre's quite a few I haven't heard of.
Great stuff. Really enjoyed it.
Saw them on the current tour as well as 27 other times. They always put on a good show. The twin lead just flows together no matter who Andy has as a partner although I will say that I saw them at...
Great stuff. I've got these 2 releases plus his next cd titled Elixir. Very good instrumental music.
SteveSly said It was confusing. I was under the impression all Winter that tix were going on sale Saturday. I even checked the website a week before. The only reason I was aware of the Friday sale...
I have all their cds. Dug them a lot. The passionate vocals and great musianship all the way around I thought.
I'm really surprised to see there are no threads (unless I missed them) concerning Rosfest tickets going on sale today at noon. I actually thought from their website that it was tomorrow but it...
Very Nice
Agreed it took about 3 minutes for the download. Must be tons of seeders out there.
Would love to see a return of PT pre Incident. That didn't do a lot for me. The solo stuff as well as the Storm Corrosion collaboration is just too mellow for me. Storm Corrosion was definitely a...
