WOW, thanks for posting this! It looks amazing!!!
Always interested in what he does, and a tour would be great too! Last time I saw him was his Orchestrion tour....That being said, I would LOVE to see Lyle Mays back behind the keys, his work is so...
Buckle up my good man! Me too, both nights:horns
They did! Its a great band! He did say it was like the last rehearsal for the Euorpean tour which I believe they were departing for the next day.
Thanks for the interview...Ive seen them a dozen or more times and the NEVER disappoint. This band kicks royal ass. Every...Time...
I'll be dipped...have that album, haven't listened to it in ages, and had NO idea it was his band...
Me too! It was amazing! Alex Skolnick was there as well. GREAT show.
Great videos...So great listening to him, funny humble beast! One of my favorite players.
"I had a look on my face like i just saw my grandfather bend over in the shower"
Well that's a bummer. Glad I got to see them three times, twice with Phillips and once recently with the new band. They kicked ass, Luke is such a tremendous player.
His band with Bill Evans, Toxic...
...word...
Haha, well I'm assuming he's referring to an ex like mine!
This album is an absolute KILLER! So good. Not a dud from start to finish. He's gotta be one of the most talented guys on the planet and this album proves it as far as I'm concerned.
Good interview but nothing really new from him. I wish people would really stop wishing and complaining about Gilmour and Waters not kissing and making up! Seriously...Gilmour said it best when he...
He's always a great interviewee! Hilarious! That bag of music is why he fits so perfectly into he prog bag!
sadly me, too...
It feels like waiting thirteen years to be bored...
It sounds like they've hit their stride with this progressive direction! I think they're genius...and I'm always thrilled with Axes' drumming, he adds so much to the band!
One of my ALL TIME favorite bands! The ACB albums through Muscle of Love still get plenty of spin time. Muscle of Love is highly under rated in my opinion. It was by me as well when it came out, but...
Yes, I actually bought the physical copy as soon as I heard he was bailing on the business. I'm a huge fan, I love almost everything he's put out. Theres one or two Im not totally in love with, but...
It's an excellent album, regardless of the format. So happy to see him return to making music, I hope he continues.
If that rise Twain tune is anything to go by this should be stellar!
I'm sad to know Paul has left, but as long as Buzby, Kul, and Weston continue on I'll be a happy camper.
I say it often on...
Hey Alan, thanks in advance for all the information and answers to all the questions!
I have another one, is the lineup going to appear in order as its listed for Saturday? If yes, I'll sadly miss...
My thoughts exactly...
Well I don t know who he was remastering/listening to on that last thing he dumped out (XTC?), but it sure didn't help him! Im waiting for him to stop name dropping all the bands he listens to and...
I would be surprised if there were, he's often said he's done with them, obviously aside from the back catalogue that he realized people really want to still hear! Thank God!
^^^He pays homage to this tune unlike anyone else! And his tribute to Porcaro on the Los Lobotyms/Candyman album is nuts!
What a beautiful interview...and down the rabbit hole I go!
Seeing how I don't know them personally, care to share?
Perhaps in the guitarist world he is, but I have a couple music buddies that are super informed and have wildly diverse tastes and roll their eyes when I mention him and they find out he's related to...
One of the best goddamned guitarists on earth, bar none. There are about 27 pages of songs/albums he played on at the end of the book.
Saw him with Toxic Monkey at the Iridium, unbelievable. He...
Autobuy: S.O.P.
They're already building a tour schedule! Cant wait for this!
Nick D'Virgilio would be great...but I loved Andy Edwards, Blundell didn't have the same feel to me. I think Edwards is teaching??
There are few and far in-between the vocalists that can sell a heart wrenching line like Weston. He can go from gut wrenching angst to tear jerking sweet in a single line...One of my all time...
Horrible news, i was looking forward to his next piece...one of the best lyricists of his, and Rosemary is one of the greatest songs ever written...in my world
I don't know if he produced them, but pretty sure he was responsible for signing them.
No.
WOW!
The new song is amazing...first thing that has caught my interest from them in years...perhaps there hope for the new one:O
AUTO BUY! Their debut album is awesome and their live shows are killer. Lennon is the real deal, not just a famous name!
Seeing him next week in Port Chester, just him and his band...can not wait! Looking fwd to see Vinnie again!
Milliontown kicks ass and still gets plenty of spin time here. I love Mitchell's playing, I think he's truly underrated and I completely miss the DT comparison here, he's got more taste in a 12...
OK, my brains scrambled going to their site...where are you finding the dates for NYC!?
Their debut was amazing, Ed is one amazing vocalist!!! Their bass player is fucking insanely great, too.
Ahh, I see and makes sense. Great review in the telegraph as well. Mason kills me: “To my eternal shame, I only got 50 per cent on an online Pink Floyd quiz,” admitted Mason. “So if you’ve got any...

Those clips don't sound like theres a huge audience there, is that even possible??
What a great setlist, its so great one of them is giving some love to their older work and not churning out their...

My impression is the "epic" factor is probably down to Stolt while kicking major ass on the guitar can't reel the composer in! My number one complaint about the FKs...Still, this is a critics...
This is an outstanding trio of albums, some of his best work I think...
They're touring???!!
Excellent! Stolt is so goddamned great! The sax solo was a super pleasant surprise and fits so well...what a band, cant wait for this!
There are two, the other is Flux and Mutability, and I love them both...but I love ambient music, A LOT, so take note!
You bet! This is a brilliant album, my introduction to his work which started me going backwards to explore everything he did solo and with Japan. Stellar lineup throughout. Some of it gets a little...
Opeth, Pain of Salvation...for starters.
After hearing it and reading some f the comments about the first album I too went back for a refresher. And indeed, I'm more a fan of the first album, it feels more dynamic than this one, its not a...

I cant wait for this album!
Agreed 100%!!
I realized I posted that not having heard it in AGES...the Fenn album, if I remember correctly, is why I forgot it!
God I hope not!
