Tormato will always hold a special place in my memory as it was the first new Yes album released after I became a fan. The tour in '79 was my first Yes concert. That concert was the last show with...
Still the best guitarist I've ever seen live. The first time I saw him was on the There and Back tour with Simon Phillips, just an awesome performance. Possibly the best show I've ever seen with him...
This is religion that I would defend until my dying day :up:D
Being one of the few that did not go seven games in this series I am grateful (Blues). I hope there's enough left in the tank to at least compete against Colorado.
Awesome job by the Blues closing it out at home being the lower seed. Colorado next, time to pull together like 2019.
Yes - June 30, 1979, the last show with Jon and Rick, my first Yes concert. A magical night in the 8th row.
One song that I absolutely love and has been in my top 5 Rush songs is Available Light from Presto. I have such an emotional response to that song.....
My first response to this has always been somewhat deranged - Genesis - The Lamia. “…as they nibble the fruit of my flesh I feel no pain…” Seriously though, since my wife and I met through the music...
The list of songs on this shirt was the latest compilation released to promote the tour https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Domino%3F_–_The_Hits
It's been my experience that when Kansas features a particular album the shows go 2 hours or longer. If no album is featured then the show averages around 90 minutes.
The first time I saw Kansas was on the Monolith tour. When that party crasher part of How My Soul Cries Out For You came something dropped from the roof of the venue. Cannot remember what it was but...
7 years ago today I saw this incarnation of King Crimson for the first time in NYC. At the time I thought - "this is a dangerous place..." Mixed metaphor yes but it's what I thought at the time. When...
The first time I saw Primus was when they opened for Rush on the Roll The Bones tour. Best opener I've ever seen for Rush going back to September 1980, the first time I saw Rush. I have not seen...
I used to live off exit 43 and 295 (Mt Laurel). Went over that bridge every day to get to work. Scary to think of a tornado in that area! Glad to hear you’re ok!
Nothing fancy. Sonos Arc, Sonos Sub, and two Sonos Ones with an Xbox 1s, connected to a 65” LG OLED. I know it’s software proprietary but I love the lack of wires, which makes the wife happy.
It was great to see you again Sean! This show did seem similar to the 2019 outing. Always a great performance from the band, personally I would have loved to see them do something like The Night...
Starts with a really cool groove and guitar solo then just kind of goes flat when the lyrics start:

Also, in the same vein, starts heavy and then falls apart:

This would not be a concert for my wife. Thanks to Sean we now have tickets! Looking forward to seeing California Guitar Trio, that should be a treat.
Fox won’t let me buy 1 ticket. Lame…
I used to think that Echolyn was a combination of Gentle Giant and Steely Dan...
Trust me…I know! She is my lottery ticket for life!
Quadrophenia still stands as my favorite album of all time….
I’ve mentioned this several times before. I met my wife when we were listening to a weekly internet radio show based on Rush. The station had a chat room where we first became friends and then...
Decided to see what was on the last page of the main forum and found this! Great cover indeed!
The first two tours I saw were Monolith and Audiovisions. It’s great to have some video from that period, reminds me how great the original band were. I still enjoy going to see them but those...
High points - meeting many great people from this site, starting with Sean at the Musical Box concert here in Atlanta in 2002, Vic and Alex at several Kansas concerts, Duncan at Rosfest and South...
My Beatles Bible growing up was All Together Now by Harry Castleman. Note that this was released in 1976, with liner notes for each song.
Absolutely shocked to hear this news. My thoughts are with you and your family, Keith was always gracious and kind to me.
Mike Phillips
I am a hoge Spandau Ballet fan - it's nice to see Gary get the respect he deserves. Gary writes all of the songs for the group and is an encyclopedia of knowledge when it comes to music in general....
I knew that was Pierre Robert! Is Arthur Brown there to do Fire?
Will do Vic!
I joined this site in 2001 but my first memories were meeting Sean at the Musical Box show in Atlanta in 2002 - I think it was Kirk who was handing out Mindworm CDs outside of the venue. Sean told me...
I only like about half of the newest album but finally decided to get tickets for the Atlanta show. It would be really hard to exceed the Hand Cannot Erase show but I'm looking forward to seeing...
The Tattoo You tour was great, although very expensive at the time - a whopping $35.00!

An amazing show, was at the opener last night. I recommend it to all the hardcore fans....
I've seen Yes somewhere in the neighborhood of 15-20 times, most shows I've thoroughly enjoyed. The only problem is that the first one was the last night of the Tormato tour, the last show with Jon...
Last Yes show with Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman in 1979, the last date of the Tormato tour.
Seeing Stevie Ray Vaughan with Jeff Beck on SRV's last tour.
Went to two Hackett shows in the past in Collingswood, closest venue to where I lived when I was in NJ. Steve loves the venue and has chosen to play there instead of the Keswick on the last few...
Roll The Bones - the album I liked the least. Dreamline, Bravado, Where's My Thing, and Ghost of a Chance are the ones I like. Roll The Bones was a cute novelty but the rest (especially Face Up) do...
Greetings Duncan! I am back in Atlanta with my wife after being in NJ for 8 1/2 years. To say we are happy would be a great understatement! We discussed moving back here after my stepdaughters went...
Glad to hear all is relatively ok with you Vic! Felt very fortunate that we did not lose power though many others did within a couple of miles from us. This was probably one of the top reasons I left...
Arrived in Anderson SC, just under 2 hours from home, no traffic on I-85. My wife and I will be attending an event at the Civic Center here with live music, food and a ton of other people. Started...
Thoughts after the show:
Survival was probably the best surprise of the evening.
Leaves of Green and Soon cheated the one song per album theme.
South Side of the Sky and Machine Messiah were...
You have been warned.....in progress
Separate thread for spoilers?
Greensboro report:
Carl Palmer’s band did a brief but very enjoyable set:
Hoedown
KE 9 1st impression Part 2
Knife Edge
Lucky Man
Fanfare
Got my ticket for tomorrow night's opener for $15 during a sale Live Nation had in May.
I only hope that none of the songs in the setlist are snippets (Leaves of Green, Soon, etc.). I call that lazy if limited to one song per album.
Seeing the first show of the tour on Friday. Hopefully the one track per album concept makes for a good setlist.
The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper
Moody Blues - Days of Future Passed
The Who - Quadrophenia
Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced
U2 - War
I felt the same way about the performance. This show was all about DOFP for me. The visuals helped me get over the fact that the orchestration was piped in. Really brought back those teenage years...
The highest price I have paid for face value tickets. I'm sure it will be worth it but damn, that came at the wrong time! Considering the size of Center Stage though, not surprising that there was...
Atlanta - Floor - Row G Seat 4. 10/23
Looking forward to seeing him next week!
The reason I still come here is the shared opinions of the music, good and bad. Another reason is because, like music being a constant in our lives, this place has become our "Cheers" of the...
Pre-sale password for Live Nation is PARTY - this according to a post on the yesfans forum. The pre-sale for non-VIP tickets begins Thursday 4/13 at 10am EDT.
I will echo Mr. Toad's selection - Quadrophenia
. Would be great to see you there Keith!
I will also be there with my wife - would be nice to meet you!
Mike
Seeing the SEBTP Black Show, the only one I have not seen, here in Atlanta on Apr. 12. Loved the Foxtrot show, which I saw in Zurich over 10 years ago. Would love to see that one again.
