Just started 3 Body Problem. If you are into sci fi drama and aliens and video game stuff all bundled into one plot line, then this is a must watch. But ... definitely google what a 3 Body Problem is...
I'm not a Frenche ... I'm a Belgie!
(Murder by Death - truly funny movie with some great actors of the time)
OK, so not exactly"prog" ... more jazz with a proggy influence, but how about Sixun? If you consider Weather Report as prog then this fits right in there too.
Try this one on for size - please use headphones.

Got one of those bird feeds with the camera for my wife at Christmas. Took a while to find a way to keep the racoon from getting into it, but some vaseline on the pole and a squirrel baffle has now...
Was watching episode 5 of Loudermilk on Netflix last night. It's a fairly funny story of a curmudgeony guy who is a counselor for alcoholics and abusers of all types. He used to be a writer for the...
Made an attempt at the Complete Malazon Book of the fallen, but gave up. I read, and read, and read trying to piece some of it together and then saw I was only a little over 1% through. Didn't hold...
Started watching Sharp Objects. Binged the first 4 episodes yesterday. Great series so far on HBO Max
Check this out. New small portable Hammond, by Hammond for only about $1000. I'm seriously considering it.

THE ANSWER. You have to sign into the website, find the software under "My Products". Click on "More Info" then download each of the sound bundles. Then go to your downloads folder and run the...
Got all my Arturia updates installed and I also bought the new Pigments Explorations bundle of sounde. But I don't see it in the software sCenter for activation. Yes, I got my confirmation of the...
Yeah, where were the scenes of carnage at the end of Fargo? I was expecting a bloody mess. Still, en enjoyable season.
Here's another proggy banger from Cereus Sounds (me on keys and vocals).

What? No Preview?
Started watching Fool Me Once on Netflix. Watched 3 episodes and had to go to bed, otherwise we would have kept going.
I got this for myself for Christmas. Paul Reed Smith 24-08. No it's not a synth but I'm having a blast running it into my DAW and playing with effects and different VST cabinets, so it's kind of...
Too many great bands playing great concerts. But most prog bands don't necessarily put on a "performance". So if you consider the stage show as well as the music it would have to be one of the Pink...
Just picked up Himlackbacken 2 - Moon Safari right at the end of the year now and, yeah, this may be my #1.
Well, I for one think this song is a bit better than most things on the last 2 albums, so no, HC wasn't done completely AI, but maybe it should have been used to help things along a bit.
It's a good song. I hate the threat of AI generated music and art though, but it isn't going away. The reality that artists of all types require years of practice, lessons, effort, sacrifice,...
I listened to some snippets of this epic masterpiece. I will need to dedicate some time to listen start to finish. What an accomplishment! very polished and new and interesting, from what I've heard...
So what's the real difference to the Bright Side vs Dark Side mixes? Is one proving to be sonically superior? Is something left out of one but in the other? I don't need both but want a good mix.
This is great. I downloaded Synthesizer V and will give the demo a try. I also cannot sing at a level that I would be willing to record and publish on, but these vocals are pretty damn good for a...
I went another way this year. Picked up PRS (Paul Reed Smith) SE 24-08 electric guitar and an Audiobox USB interface to record it. Now all I have to do is spend the next 3 years practicing to become...
I bought a USB interface this past week and it came with Studio One 6. I can say I have absolutely zero interest about looking into it. Should I take a little time with it just to see how it works?
I got into Ableton because it came (as a lite version) in the software bundle with my Keylab 88 keyboard. I've since upgraded to the suite.
Funny though, just this past week I've heard 3 people...
A fairly decent version of "Red". The bveginning is funny ... "It used to take 3 days to learn this song and we are going to attempt it after a wee bit of learning." So, after hearing this, there...
Beautiful Scarecrow is such a better song with the video.
OK, the video make it all worthwhile!
The "new" Beatles song was just released? What do you think?
Now and Then

Supposedly it was worked on originally back in 1995 when they also did...
watched Disney's Haunted House. Much better waiting on line for 2 hours then walking through the real thing than sitting watching this movie.
Gave the album 3 listens so far. I think this will be my last "auto-purchase" of something Steven puts out. The last 2 were sadly disappointing. I'm not a fan of this new direction, though if a new...
Thanks for all your help guys. We came in 2nd place in the contest. Prog lives in the hearts and minds of people, even in this day and age.
Nevermind, my pages were stuck together. I found them now
Just received the CD. Where are the credits? Nobody mentioned at all on the sleeve or liner. Wikipedia has a bunch of session musician names, but not even an acknowledgement anywhere on the CD...
So where is the digital download? I thought that was going to be made available?
Thanks for your kind words. Yes, we have other songs - about half an albums worth. Probably publish all of it together by the end of the year. Here's a link to the rest, so far. We are called Cereus...
Thanks for taking the time and checking us out. If you get a chance, any comment or a like would go a long way to helping us out. That's where the biggest point count is - fan comments and likes....
We would love to hear your feedback on our track, so it you've given it a listen please post your impressions.
Thanks
One of my bands Cereus Sounds is in a battle of the bands over on Bandlab. We compose and play original proggish songs, so you know that the majority of the people on Bandlab want rap and club music,...
Here's a dedication to Bill Bruford, but without drums. Without drums! How can that be? Sacre-Blu! :D
It's one of his prettier melodies. Enjoy.
...
There's nothing like the Solina if you're looking for some decent string sounds. Different from the Mellotron. Lots of other synths can do strings, but the Solina is just a go to for that for me.
I can't possibly learn all of the vst's I have now to the extent that I want to. Focusing on a handful and getting to know them better is about all I can handle
I've still got my old Nakamichi cassette deck in bubble wrap. I got rid of my old tapes about 5 years ago, but kept the deck. I really don't know why. Anyone looking for one?
Here's another proggy one from my band on Bandlab - Cereus Sounds. Enjoy

This song is certainly better than the first one I heard. Definitely not Pork Tree in style and Steven likes to change up his sound from album to album, so not surprised that it doesn't fall into any...
Yeah, the Rhodes just fits into prog like a Hammond organ and a Mini Moog and a Mellotron.
Thanks for checking it out guys. Hard to find prog head who think like us over at Bandlab, though they...

So far the consensus on Bandlab for your song is that you "KICK ASS". I concur.
Ok, Prog Collectors. I will give it a try.
Joe - how does this sound now? Thanks for letting me add my little bit to your fine rocker.

Arrgh. I was afraid this is what I would find posting this question. I was really hoping to discover some FB group that enjoy more esoteric prog discussion. I have no problem with someone saying...
Well that was pretty anticlimactic.
So, what other Facebook prog groups do you like?
Does anyone else here play on Facebook and belong to the "Progressive Rock" group? I'm a lurker there, primarily because anytime I posted anything it got dismissed and deleted by the hard headed over...
I really like this one Clivey. Definitely a Robbie Robertson vibe.
So the Harmonia is an additive synth. I owned a Kawai K5 back in the day that was also additive, building harmonics into sounds. Damn hard to program, especially difficult if you were chasing down a...
Great rock ballad Joe. Did you ever get on Bandlab? I'd love to add some rockin' Hammond organ to this.
