Listening to the “Snow goose” now, and it sounds fantastic!17336
Do you think there's any chance seeing "Under Wraps" reissued next year?
Finally!
Autobuy, obviously. I have all the other SW remixes, so this album (one of my JT favourites) will definitely join them on the shelf.
Came across this on a couple of German sites:
https://www.jpc.de/jpcng/poprock/detail/-/art/camel-air-born-the-mca-decca-years-1973-1984/hnum/11454621
No word about it on the site of the band,...
It's so great the Marillion are keeping reasonable prices for their box sets. The booklets are inferior to those of Jethro Tull, but still, it's a great value for money!
The same can't be said about...
If you lived in Europe this set would set you back for even more money - German distribution asks €265 for this.
The previous box set was rich, but there was no proper essay about the album - just...
This news was expected, of course:

All I really want to listen is Atmos version of this album... But I have all the box-sets from 1977...
No multichannel mix in the box set, huge disappointment!
Not really. I ordered mine (deluxe version) at the official site in November and got it a couple of days ago. Would have received it sooner if not for customs clearance on the way from London to...
I have received my Deluxe version today, listening to the Atmos mix now. It sounds very good. I don’t think this album will ever be my PT favourite, but overall it’s a solid record, far better to my...
I’m being a pain in the ass here, but what does this thread have to do with prof? :-)
I’ve seen even Radiohead topic being moved out, so?..
Lamia, one of the best Genesis songs ever, is on the place 117 here... This is just ridiculous!
Hilarious speech, thanks a lot for posting!
I have been to the Opeth concerts like 5 times, and every time I enjoy small interludes of Michael between the songs, he always has something funny to...
What a terrible news!!!
Rest In Peace David…
I think one of the factors contributing to such a late release date could be the factor of global vinyl shortage. Quite probably, Wilson is expecting to sell a lot of LP's which is why he might have...

Finally found a missing tooth after "Stand Up" :-)
My only concern is that there's no place on this shelf anymore to place forthcoming (hopefully) reissue of BATB.
Also, I wonder if TAAB...
The instrumental part is great but I feel more irritated with Stevens voice with each new album... I wish he invited some strong singer into his band! But alas! - it's not something he would ever...
Just ordered their box-set - never had those first three albums... And, while was on this website, ordered a set of Arabs in Aspic as well.
Listening to the new song now. To these ears it is far better than anything on the last two SW albums. I think I will go ahead and pre-order, just need to choose which version.
You are right, the name "Progressive rock" is a misleading one. And I do like what is generally considered progrock or progmetal. I do prefer, however, the groups within this genre to evolve... I may...
I have listened to the album this morning and I’m underwhelmed. The title track is interesting, but overall I am tired of their sound which is the same from album to album. They stopped being truly...
I've been thinking about upgrading from 5.1 to 7.1.4 Atmos setup - and finally it's accomplished!
So far I've only listened only to "Abbey Road" - expected a little more, to be honest... The sound...
I miss the "Old" Flairck, still... When I moved to Belgium in 2014, I managed to witness them on their last tour of the classic line-up (with inclusion of Pablo). It is partially reflected in their...
Yes, as one of the supporters of the crowdfunding campaign I have also received this disc and gave it a couple of spins. Well, I had already heard some of the tunes this summer, at one of Flairck's...
The track at the top of the page is simply amazing. I’ve been listening to it (and the whole album) for about 12 years and will never get too tired of it.
This is a very interesting interview, but nothing Paul is saying there has anything at all to do with the title of this thread.
Dear folks,
One of our brethren proggers who lives in Parsippany, NJ, has suffered cerebral hemmorage. His name is Vitaly Moroz. I think he has an account at this forum, I just don't know what it...
I heard about this band many times before but never got to listen to their music. Today I have listened to the "River of sleep" - wow, what a powerful song! The whole album is okay, but this song is...
I have decided to re-listen to all albums of "Cream". I know it's not prog but it's worth listening nonetheless... :-)
As for prog, "Phaedra" re-listened at 5.1 continues to impress...
I think it's a very strong album. "Signal to noise" being by far the strongest song IMO, there are plenty of other pearls as well. The only one that I really don't like is "Barry Williams show".
I was never into TD but having listened to this box set in Apple Music I am now convinced I need the physical box, if only for the Blu-ray. Waiting for the second print, but also hoping to snatch a...
Below is the message from the Facebook page of GK. It was a good band... I am glad I saw their performance last year!

Dear friends!...
After five years of activity, two acclaimed...
Chernobyl is bloody amazing mini-series. What makes it even more awesome is that all of it is the truth...
It is available for pre-order now in a regular and signed version. I have order mine (regular one).
I saw Gryphon live yesterday in Netherlands - it was their only concert outside of UK. I was surprised how many new songs they played - most of the album actually! First album was played a lot too,...
I watched the movie yesterday I quite liked it. There are some glaring anachronisms (for example, Fat Bottomed Girls playing in 1975 or We Will Rock You being written in 1980), but most of the...
Great news! Camel were amazing last summer at NOTP, so I'll definitely go for this DVD!
“Even 2.0” is hardly appropriate to say,as the new compositions by Joris and Pablo seem heavier, and so is the arrangement of the old stuff.
Quantity wouldn't be an issue if the quality was good, but obviously both aspects are not there. In fact, the album cover is what I like most about it so far...
I like Brendan's solo albums too, but this one just doesn't quite match them... IMO, of course.
This is exactly what I have trouble understanding. The music is very melodic and could be accepted by a lot of people. If these guys ever get a good promotion, I think they could become commercially...
You can have a main course and a dessert, too. Flairck's music IS more light-weight, but I don't see anything wrong with that.
The album came out yesterday - I gave it a couple of listens in the car... and was somewhat disappointed. First of all, it's not DCD as we know it. The sound has changed to a much more ambient one....
I agree, the band is in top shape!
Me and my wife were very impressed with yesterday's performance! I wish they would be invited to NOTP festival next year!

Maybe because nobody plays piano at Flairck? :D
It's the same story as with Gong - I reflected about it last year as well... I think we'll see more and more of such bands - wouldn't be suprised if some big names of the bands would exist in a few...
Going to the show in Goes tonight - looking forward to this one!
Interestingly, completely opposite from what I would say. I can't listen to BBT's early stuff but "English Electric part one" became a breakthrough album, and I very much like most of what the band's...
Very tempting, but I'm going to pass... just not enough value for money for me.
Have their "Once upon a time" box set, and that one is fantastic!
It was an amazing band!
"Similitude of a dream" was a disappointment for me. I thought I would get it when I went to his concert (the whole album was performed live), but my opinion of the album became even worse... So I'm...
I'd rather buy their box set of the original albums...
Ian has announced the first official Jethro Tull book to come out.

Well, THIS is a very arrogant thing to say.
Wow, I had no idea it would be such a fun to read it when I was starting this thread!
I've been asking myself this question and maybe some of brethren proggers did as well.
We all agree that the music that we listen to is mostly very smart. It is complex, sophisticated,...
I wonder why nobody mentioned “Roots to branches” among their favourite albums. I think it is a very strong work, for me it’s probably their best album post 70-s.
Planning to see them in Belgium next week. Really looking forward to it!

One of the tracks from the new album is available. Sounds quite promising.
I've given it only one listen so far - didn't do much to me. Can't really compare with the classical albums. But I hope it will still grow on me, so I'll keep trying...
