My sincere condolences to his family.
That's just incredible!
So well done! Thank you! And the album is an incredible piece of art.
Really nice! Thank you, and your voice is perfect for this work.
BBT has meant so much to me. This music has really enriched my life, and I'm so grateful to have it.
As others have said, I feel a terrible loss.
But it's less than nothing compared to what his...
Circus and Counterpoints are two of my absolute favorites, with Circus being what i consider a perfect album. And what he did with vocal harmonies was never equaled, imho.
Kate Bush- The Ninth Wave
Will you be selling the new Lifesigns?
really beautiful work from both of you!
Love it. More interesting than others I've heard in the math-rock style.
Guess I'm in the minority but I love it! I find them classy, tasteful and intriguing, though I'm not sure they ever hit the heights of this debut again.
Did my part, including one from the great Dean Watson!
I'm sorry, but that would be a mistake.
Thanks much.
She was stunning. And more importantly, her gift was profound, imho.
My life is certainly richer for having her music.
very glad somebody corrected that mistake

My vote goes (as always) to Keith Reid of Procol Harum.
This is not his most poetic work by any means, but a personal favorite, from their debut:
Something Following Me -1967:
While standing...
My heartfelt sympathies to, and prayers for, all his family and friends.

that was kind of amazing. the composition, performance, the video, all very impressive.
Love it!
Thanks for posting. Was not aware...
[QUOTE=Top Cat;888712]Thanks for the info, I'll check it out, a little too high $$ for me right now and I'd like to hear more about the Wetton court doc's. So far, Eddie is innocent until proven...
I was looking for that for a long time. Finally found a copy very reasonably priced at Burning Shed recently. Dunno if they still have it but let me recommend the newer "Curtain Call" DVD. Excellent...
So, does this include his rant about pop music?
Haven't heard it for years, but I remember asking myself the same question. Then I got rid of it...
I've been trying to trade for this DVD. I made what I thought was a very generous offer on the trade list forum, but no takers yet.
Really liked that last disk with Gavin. The stuff before is hit or miss for me.
No slight intended to PT, but why would Gavin commit to this? His star is obviously rising...

Choose as many as you like from the following, for the UK Reunion Live in Tokyo DVD:
5 Bridges The Thomas tracks
Ad Infinitum Ad Infinitum
Alusa Fallax Intorno alla mia cattiva educazione...
Very impressive!! Reminds me of Alco Frisbass, which is a gem as well.
It's a shame that Counterpoints never saw a digital issue
Played (and wrote one track) on Circus, which is possibly my #1 all time favorite album. For that alone, I'm forever grateful.
Excellent!
I'm an unabashed Genesis fanboy thru W&W.
And I dearly love ATTWT. To me it's the last of the Genesis magic. Duke is ok, but just too much of the "wall of sound" that replaced the interplay.

Donated. And praying...
Never heard this so i went to Amazon to do the 30 second samples of each track.
Sure sounds like a Dire Straits album to me. And it sounds very intentional.
I would love to see more live shows, but can't do rock shows anymore. Standard volume is so loud and so distorted that I can't distinguish ANYTHING being played. Saw UM recently. Big fan of the...
Excellent job! Magnum Opus sounded really great.
Can't afford on Oppo. Anything else that will play these?
Quite awesome! And i agree this is probably the best track on Devoto.
This is good but the second disc is great IMHO. Better writing, added some keys...
^^For what it's worth, I really love both NAGS albums. You rep your homeland well!
The wife turned me on to the Punch Brothers (surprised me with tickets). It was a great show and I've been a huge fan ever since. Mighty prog, imho.
[QUOTE=chalkpie;600068]Beautiful album. I bought all four (4) albums and am happy I did so. I blame it on PE.
Apropos the thread on overload...
i've cut way back on buying music. like many here,...
just had my first listen to Constellations.
sounds like a fresh take on prog to me. i will be buying more!
great writing, great vocals, imho.
^^^ He's right, ya know.
Grand Hotel has some of their finest writing, imho. And I love the concept. All of the lyrics deal with various forms of self indulgence.
The music, the album art, the lyrics, could not be any better, for my taste. Masterpiece.
Perhaps, but have you ever known anyone to recover from threadbaring disease?
I don't think so.
I can't tell you how devastated I am by this news:

Bought this years ago. Still one of my favorite DVDs. Highly recommended if your a fan.
I have Eliogabalus and Dies Irae, DI being the far better of the two. While i agree with the criticism (cheezy, inconsistent) there are moments that are just so great.
Track 15 of DI is a choral...
As are all of their discs, although I think the latest may be the best of them. Truly progressive stuff. Very emotional writing and performances.
I'm sure I'll get flack for saying this, but I can't get too excited about these guys apart from the fabulous vocals.
Which release best showcases Alberto?
Thanks. Good to know.
I realize many people love him, but he just reminds me of Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther "romance" scenes.
^^ Is Lanzetti handling vocals on Cook?
strongly disagree. i think Gavin's work on this add greatly to an already excellent brew
Kate Bush-The Ninth Wave
Incredibly great music and perfect use of Mission Control Samples
I'll be at the central Ohio show.
Er, wait...
RIP John.
I can't say how much those recordings have meant to me...
