The benefits of Atmos mixes in 2-channel stereo:

I haven't tried it myself, but I might give it a try.
If 'Unburied Treasure' presented all the acceptable material that contributed to FTP, there's 4 CDs of material from Dusseldorf, Brussels, Munich and Paris, which was all remixed.
They could release...
SW remixed the 'Excerpts from Octopus' originally on PTF as a bonus track on the 2015 'Octopus' expanded release.

Esoteric/Cherry Red are usually explicit when it has been remastered, and this states it's a re-release.
Here's the original DRM for...

"Stuart celebrates the band's 'Larks' Tongues in Aspic' album on its 50th anniversary."
I'm only hearing organ, mellotron and bass-pedal sounds, and flute, so faithful to 'Foxtrot' and not 'Seconds Out'.
I guess SH decided to stick to the arrangement he has used these past years, and...
If you are referring to the section before 'Apocalypse in 9/8' where Peter's flute was replaced by the synth on 'Seconds Out', the latest live version from Hackett retains the original 'Foxtrot'...
It may run into the same issues as 'Animals'. The Early Years boxed set included an early demo/run-through of 'Echoes' and a full live version from 1974. There was also the hi-res remix of 'Meddle'...
Where's my Blu-Tack? :D
Check Dime for audience recordings of the tour so far.

Recent setlists for those interested.
I downloaded the hi-res off Bandcamp, after hearing the 16-bit stream.
The hi-res is better, fuller, and the 16-bit sounds quite brittle to my ears.
Anyway, I enjoyed the full album, a lot more...
I agree with this assessment, however that still means that the original stereo mixes have not been remastered to hi-res using the best available technology, and the CDs remain the last (digital)...
Agree with most of the comments above, great album, excellent expanded version and go-to for live Snow Goose.
I thought a search would show a previous 'Featured CD' in the past, but not on any...
It always has been a challenging recording, as were all the others recorded by the band on that tour. When the boxed set was announced a few years ago, I made an analogy of "silk purse from a pig's...
If 'The Road of Bonus' is the second CD back in 2014 with:
Knucklehead
1312 Overture
Constellations
Fall and Rise
Ten Million Demons
Hardcore
...then I have it all.
Looks nice though.
Thanks.
Not sure how often they ever visit the UK, especially outside of London, so this should be a fun way to start the weekend.
Yes, but only the front view.
Nearly all boxed sets are produced in fixed order numbers, usually so they can calculate the production costs and the mark-up for a sales price. Many boxed sets are one-off production runs, never to...
I grabbed the weekly highlight (for me) of the 'Music for Quiet Moments' releases as we trundled through Lockdown, so this release has no value for me.
But I look forward to the concert performances...
I know it does not fix the discs, my guess is that you are unlikely to get replacements this long after release, you could still try, however you are fully within your rights to download a torrent...
My European versions are OK.
Has anyone with glitches on the CDs tried to rip them, to see if the problem persists?
It appears to me like a problem with the CD indexing, only revealing itself on CD...
Burning Shed are still showing 3rd September 2021 as the "availability" date:

We'll see.
I've had issues in the past...
I had tickets to see Brand X in Liverpool and Manchester in the 2020 tour, but that was postponed due to the pandemic, and eventually cancelled a few months ago. I've enjoyed the recent live releases...
Does acid warp time?
LoG only toured during 1980.
Manchester in May 1980 for this college student too.
I'm glad to say this album isn't as unpleasant as the sample track 'After The Rain' led us to believe.
I grabbed an MP3 version off the internet, because I was not going to pay for a whole album of...
Looking at the setlists for 1973, I agree that those two songs only appeared in the live performances after the June 1973 Trident recording sessions.
I guess that places the recording somewhere...
Thanks Calyx.
The Montreux 1972 setlist is from an audience recording, no official recordings were made of the 1972 MO performance.
My setlist is from a soundboard, several tapes flips, so been...
I've been enjoying a re-run through my MO live recordings, got to one I picked up off Dime which says it's from Montreux in August 1972. The uploader says he was at the 1972 concert, however I do not...
I'm a fan of Toyah the person, not her music, she has been a ray of sunshine during the last year or more, and I'm sure her uber-fans will have enjoyed all the content she has put online. In an...

It's definitely a complete something ;)
The download link below is a screen-save of the list of recordings Genesis have at The Farm.
It's almost 20 years old and was on the old official website forum before it went behind the paywall....
Interesting, hopefully an improvement on the 2005 PH remasters, which were bright, harsh and compressed, to these ears.
PH's remasters have not been well received, on the whole.
I upgraded to the...
I enjoy the music of both bands, however, other than the funny wordplay above, I cannot see any links.
I do enjoy other people's observations on the music forums, so I'm open to persuasion.
I like Fripp's soundscapes and the way his collaborations use them, however the beat of this is not for me.
I have plenty of 'electronic' music, but that beat is irritating to my ears.
I hope...
Just had notifications that both Manchester and Liverpool concerts for Brand X, originally scheduled for April 2020 and moved to May 2021, have been cancelled.
The 4K is brilliant.
Donated to Band On The Wall in Manchester, sent my confirmation, and will wait and see.
That'll be why he wants to retire from the show.
I'm having an RB retrospective this week.
I get the albums from his personal Bandcamp page, however the new album is under KScope's Bandcamp page.

Thanks for uploading the video.
The audio is the final track on disc 2 of the 2009 expanded release.
Are you talking about 2015 and after, or prior to 2015?
As far as I know, almost all the official recordings prior to 2015 have been released through record labels, boxed sets or downloads.
DGM are...
The music's great, however I've noticed that the videos are 1280 x 720, and the audio 16/48.
The Aschaffenburg 2020 video was released on YouTube up to 1920 x 1080, so it seems a little odd that it...
Did the download include the booklet PDF?
Currently £30 and out-of-stock at Burning Shed.

£10 for the hi-res download at Bandcamp.
I usually grab the hi-res option, so cannot remember...
I do not own this one, however I count at least 8 BBG Bandcamp purchases where they have supplied the PDF booklet.
If that fails, the Japanese artwork can be viewed and downloaded at Discogs:...
You are entitled to your own opinion, however you are the first listener I have read who has suggested the new boxed set is inferior to any of the previous releases.
As with all music listening, it...
They also rights-protected this one.
The last one was free to rip.
Nice watch.
The is the same performance that was used to compile the live CD and DVD on the 2CD/1DVD 2018 25th anniversary release of 'Ever'.
The YouTube version is available in HD, so an upgrade...

If all versions are sourced from the same hi-res stereo master, and has been brick-walled, everything else follows.
I hope you find otherwise with the vinyl.
The original release of 'Strange New Flesh' wasn't great, however all the subsequent releases have been over-compressed.
Esoteric are usually very good, maintaining best available master and dynamic...
Agree too.
I had the good fortune to see them live back in November 1977.
The only non-audience live material appears to be BBC sessions and in-concert recordings, plus an October 1977...

Scroll down to 6th April 1978.
Also, 13th October 1978 for reference.
I disagree.
1. When I listened to 'I'll Never Forget You', all I heard was JZ, it played like his sound to me, and not WS.
2. WS is listed on every WR album on saxophones, and it sounds nothing...
