There were at least five Yeti CDRs to my knowledge, maybe more. Demonstration, Live at Sockmonkey, Live at the Wreck Room Parts 1 & 2, Demonstration II
The new/final Present has hit the Wayside site: http://www.waysidemusic.com/Music-Products/Present-This-Is-Not-The-End-CD__Rune-spc-517.aspx
Oh damn they covered SPQR? That's pretty cool.
Unless it's already under active development, I suspect Korg will get through their FS run and have the mini to market (which they haven't announced but it seems inevitable with their track record)...
Korg sets the reissue dial to 11: https://sonicstate.com/news/2024/01/22/korg-re-release-the-legendary-ps-3300/
Probably makes sense to get two, one for each hand.
Serves me right for going by memory. NF 2003 had Änglagård, not Caravan.
Tough, there have been so many good ones.
DFA was probably my favorite NF show, Kraan was probably my favorite PD show, echolyn my favorite FMPM show.
Favorite PD: 2014 because I didn't have to...
It was a time of change. Punk, disco, dubstep, crunkcore, and screamo were altering the musical landscape...
Ideally the music was not recorded, but exists in the memory of the composer who can hum it to me. Once it's recorded there is a risk someone else will get it and I won't be the only one to have it.
I forgive you.
(Someone should buy this CD!)
I'll have to go back and get the older stuff at some point.
"Guns" was the first Cardiacs I heard, so I guess it must work as a starting point :-D.
Yeah some Egg with a little Rikki Nadir vocals...
I liked:
French TV - A Ghastly State of Affairs
Seven Impale - Summit
Ring van Mobius - Commissioned Works Pt II - Six Drops of Poison
The Chronicles of Father Robin Book I
Jordsjo - Salighet...
They should fumigate the next one.
Also since Greek stuff was mentioned, Axis got a Canadian pressing back in the day (because they were France-based, most likely).
Some stuff would get Canadian pressings.
French prog presumably to sell in Quebec. Stuff like Ange but even something obscure like Pentacle (which was produced by one of the Ange guys, so maybe...
Nice to see, that first Earthstar has been hard to find at a reasonable price.
Geddy isn't singing Available Light unless he huffs a helium balloon at this point.
Never Behringer, the Tachika of gear. (But y'all do you).
Damn that's a cool clip, thanks for sharing.
That's pretty darn comprehensive, but if you are jonesing for at least nominally related music from the general area, the bassist for the best M Efekt albums also played with Collegium Musicum and...
Likewise, WDADU fans represent :).
For 299 they can come to my house and sing it to me.
Speaking of which, has this been mentioned here?

And yes, I'd imagine the primary appeal is to cover bands :).
First the closure, then the continuation, then the closure...
I can't believe that guy published the thing on the leading prog web site I never heard of.
Their 80s stuff is more melodic and easy to listen to but you owe it to yourself to try some of the 70s stuff too. I wouldn't throw you into the deep end to start, but the two live albums "Ricochet"...
I don't follow them at this point, but I am happy for them to have buried the hatchet.
Might waver if the price goes down but I have the first five studio albums + A Live Record, and I'm satisfied.
Hey, Daniel started out doing Canterbury :)
YES GUY
My folks suffered greatly during my undergrad as well :-D
Lito Vitale!
The liner notes on the Bandcamp site are fun!
Steve has been up to something: https://www.discogs.com/release/28367299-5UUS-Live-At-AKW-W%C3%BCrzburg-Germany-April-8-1995
An actual dedicated fan will simply buy two turntables and two copies of the record to make it work (or they could do the A/D B/C thing).
I think it would be the same for them... they'd want to have something new to sell each tour rather than repressing old stuff for the table.
The more popular vendors would have more weight on...
Storage. If you have 50 CDs x 200-300 copies they have to live somewhere.
I have ~100 copies of the ProgDay 2001 CD that will be buried with me. That's no problem.
When I was doing PQ I often...
I tend to like to keep certain things in consistent formats. So if I own most of an artist's catalog on CD, I'd like anything I'm missing to also be on CD. If I've collected a certain kind of music...
I figured the Sancious was coming when an original appeared on Discogs for a few thousand.
None of them were very good. Trick was probably the best of the three, but Robot Peter sounds bored.
Oh I suppose I also saw Samla Mammas Manna twice on a "tour". When they came over to play ProgDay in 2003, they did a show before in Chicago and I got to see both ;).
On a tour, I think just twice. Rush on the Test for Echo tour, 2nd night in Buffalo and final night in Ottawa.
"In residence", Magma five times in a week at Le Triton in 2004.
The kids who sang on the original will be pushing 40 soon ...
Sure, why not, but LOL at the unsuspecting person who puts on Baba Yaga halfway through their playthrough.
It was on my list, but your informative post and link does more to spread the word. :up
Oh I still like Malicorne! My little nod to that style on the list was the René Werneer album. Werneer was a member of Ys and Malicorne, and played with Alan Stivell. Second Malicorne probably...
I thought Hubert's list was pretty good.
Here is another top 10 that is just stuff not ranked yet, one per artist.
1. Catherine Ribeiro & Alpes - Paix
2. Rosina de Peira & Martina - Trobadors...
While disagreeing with the assessment, I love the quote.
Urban Sax
It's the closing song on Cowboy, and the line is used twice in the lyrics to Mei.
October 1 in Montreal, eh?
Well, shit. When I heard that Damon had renamed his project, I figured the name was free and started a kazoo improv trio called Jack O' The Clock. Our first album was supposed to be out in June on...
It's re-recordings of songs from the earliest albums with the then-current lineup. I assume it's because the production values of the early albums are considered lacking. They also did a re-recording...
Won't waste time watching the interview, but the Run the Jewels track is good. :cool
Wow, this one is really poignant.
Heyo,
My longtime fantasy league, now in its 20th season, needs two more owners. It's a free league with 7 keepers, and the keeper deadline is this weekend and draft the following weekend.
It's...
I'm on the floor in Ottawa for $200. My days of buying tickets like these are 99% behind me but I haven't seen Gabriel so this one I'm doing.
