I had not heard that about Phillips. Do you know the story behind it?
I have seen Styx quite a few times over the years and never had the impression that they used backing tracks (although I can’t say that for certain). They have always been a great vocal band all...
I saw it and pretty much agree. It was pretty bad. They also made "The Mist" into a mini-series. That one was better.
Just curious, did you ever hear the Ozzy re-union album "13"? I thought it was a really solid effort.
I actually like Rogan as an interviewer. I don’t agree with him on many things, especially his take on vaccines, and I don’t like all of his podcasts, but he sometimes gets some very interesting...
We just finished season 2 last night. Not sure if I am going to continue. I am not a fan of Rom Coms and as this show goes along the Rom Com cliché’s continue to ramp up. At times I almost feel...
Great insight. Thanks for posting.

When we were down in Florida our friend’s turned us on to the 90’s series “Northern Exposure”. I remember hearing good things about it back in the day and we even visited the town of Talkeetna in...
Apparently the ship knew it had a problem and had alerted someone on land who was able to close the bridge down to traffic. Everyone who lost their lives were construction workers working on the...
I agree that the price point for this seems to be a bit high. I am still going to get it as I am a big fan of this era, but I wonder how many people will pass on it with the price. If you have...
Stub Hub are all re-sale tickets, so that is not the original price. Any idea what the original price was for that seat?
7th Star is a great album. I never owned it until they did the re-issue 2 disc addition a while back and it was a pleasant surprise.
True, it seems like every other building in the downtown was a bank. They had a pretty good reputation for harboring cocaine money back in the day too, although I don't if that is still the case.
Same here. I can't think of anything he has been in that I enjoyed much.
We saw it in the theater as my wife wanted to see it. I had pretty much the same reaction. Not terrible, but not great either and rather pointless.
I never warmed to the X-Files that much. Not sure why, but I tried with it.

Agree, with everything you say. I came to H & H through Ronnie's work in Rainbow and was the first Sabbath album I owned, so it still holds a special place with me. Mob Rules had some great...
I never really noticed that before, but now that you have pointed it out it is pretty obvious that they do that a lot. Interesting.........
I have enjoyed reading all of the Big Ears reviews. Much of the music featured at this event is not really my cup of tea, but I would have been interested in seeing some of the artists. I may have...
My first time seeing Sabbath was on the “Born Again” tour. Gillan certainly did his share of screaming during that show.
Regarding Hughes, I remember he discussed why he did not play bass in...
I went to Grand Cayman once many years ago. We went around quite a bit of the island and to me it appeared to be one of the most well-off islands I visited. Everything was clean, modern, and just...
I watched that live yesterday. Red Wings trying to hang in for a wildcard spot, but have not been playing well lately.
I have it and think all of the albums sound great, some of them improved quite a bit.
Southwest Michigan has become a bit of a bluegrass breeding ground in the last decade. Billy Strings is from Muir Michigan, about an hour from where I live, and has become huge. Green Sky Bluegrass...
I was big into both the movie and the TV series back in the day. Have not watched either in years though.
I have been to many islands in the Caribbean, but never Jamacia, so I was kind of looking forward to checking it out, but I have heard other stories like yours from people who have been there, so...
Yes, now that I think about it those first few albums are not recorded that well. It has been a long time since I listened to them.
I also pretty much lost interest in the band from "Out Of The...
I need to see both of these.
Yup, sorry I am getting my albums mixed up.
That is most likely the case then. They are very good at re-producing the studio sound for sure.
This box has been talked about for a while. All of the Tony Martin albums have been out of print for years. Unfortunately it will not include "Headless Cross" due to record company issues.
What a killer song!
Agree, I was hoping for a live album from the Martin era. I know there are bootlegs out there, so I just figured there would be some source material.
I have always been of the opinion that the Tony Martin era of Sabbath is criminally overlooked. “Tyr”, “Cross Purposes”, “Headless Cross” are great albums. I have pre-ordered this new box.
Agree, the albums all sound amazing.
Practically all Gholke does is shoot 3 pointers. When he is on, like he was against Kentucky, that team can be lethal. If he has an off game though, they are probably toast.
:O
I have always liked the Red Wings white jerseys. The full red ones are probably better, but the white one look pretty sharp too.
Just listened to a new interview with Buck. It sounds like B.O.C. are starting to wind down their career. He said this new album will most likely be the band’s last and that they are only playing...
I have not watched the TV series, but agree about the movie. One of Richie's best efforts IMO.
Agree, that was a nice option.
I saw them on the last U.S. tour they did and had similar thoughts. It almost sounded too perfect. They did have a bunch of musicians on stage including backup singers, so maybe it was all done...
Those are two great ones for sure.
Ooops..........you are correct. I am getting my songs mixed up.
We just got caught up on the most recent season last night. So far I think this season is an improvement over season 2 (season 1 is still the best). I still think Alan Tyduk deserves an Emmy...
Oakland beating Kentucky was a huge upset. The little team from Michigan has always had a good basketball program, but I don't think anyone expected that to happen.
Not sure which song you are talking about. "Carrie" maybe? That was the one song on the album that was both written and sang by Nick. He just performed it with Ryo's band on CTTE last week.
Agree. I saw them live a few times with Nick up front and each time he got better.
5 days seems about perfect to me.
I would rate "X" up there with the Neal era albums. I think that one is really solid start to finish. "Feel Euphoria" has grown on me over the years. I like it better now than when it was...
Yes, race car drivers are remarkably similar to golf in that today almost every driver at the top levels of the sport has extensive physical training regimens. They also do a lot of electronic...
I agree about the Ice Rink venue on the last boat. That was a really great 2nd venue to have. I also thought they could have used the Atrium area more. The only music I saw there was a little bit...

For me "Operation Mindcrime" is one of the greatest prog metal albums of all time, so I thought they fit, but I know not everyone agrees with me. I also like the fact that did significantly...
No problem. Seeing BBT twice was just not that big a priority for me. I knew I was going to see them at the pool where I could stand right up close to the stage and I also wanted to catch the...
Marillion shows on the boat are not quite the same energy level as when they are playing a gig to their fans alone, but I thought the blue show was very good (did not see the Red show). Not sure if...
A few weeks before the cruise was set to sail there was a U.S. Government security warning issued for Jamacia, so they diverted the itinerary. We were also supposed to go to Grand Caymon Island, but...
