Strangely enough, 'It Crawled Into My Hand, Honest' is one of my favourite albums during a long drive. Flashes of brilliance and always entertaining even after close to 40 years.

Any idea why coming to PE via Opera gets a red screen with a 'malicious site' warning? It's been happening for weeks and I'm getting tired of it.
We've got Toronto vs Cleveland for a conference championship - twice in 6 months! I can't imagine anyone predicted that.
Toronto vs Texas should be a lot of fun given the recent history between them.
Sanchez has been the best starter all year and he's still mowing them down. I don't know why they'd limit him.
In terms of Bautista, trading him might make sense, but he's a 10 and 5 guy . . . ...
Now the Blue Jays are 3rd. It's going to be a long, interesting year.
Actually the team on the field the last 2 games of the series was the Buffalo Bison AAA against the O's.
Put me down as another fan. I have Dies Irae and Eliogabalus and quite enjoy both, although if I HAD to choose, I'd choose Eliogabalus. As Progbear said they're evil, gothic and theatrical and that's...
I agree with SS. The Willey and Friends album is an absolute gem. I have it filed with Thinking Plague and it gets played more than any of those CDs.
Toronto types are talking of Dombrowski as president with Anthopoulos staying GM. Paul Beeston is retiring as President after this season so there is an opening.
Toronto's bullpen has been their Achilles heel. They just keep blowing games. Reyes has been brutal in the field recently - all sorts of missed plays and his range has decreased a lot, so this is a...
Electronic music. Quite nice and bordering on cosmic/psych on occasion.

CANO from Ontario gets mentioned occasionally around here
Au Nord de Notre Vie is my favourite CANO. If you like folky prog I think you'll enjoy them.
I've just started Erikson's new book "Willfull Child" which is apparently an absurd takeoff on Star Trek. I think meant to be a comedy. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to finish it.
Top of the Blue Jays list is to re-sign Melky Cabrera. A second baseman is desperately needed but I think that's going to have to come from a trade. The bullpen was crap last year so that's another...
And 'I Will Always Love You' is a Dolly Parton cover.
That's good news. I quite like the two albums.
1 To Our Children's Children
2 In Search of The Lost Chord
3 A Question of Balance
4 On The Threshold of a Dream
5 Days of Future Passed

Since RUSH's plane was unfortunately diverted and they missed convocation, they headed straight to a studio to record a video message for Nipissing's graduates.
Here are the links...
Here's the blurb, for those who didn't read the link (I meant to do this in the first place)
" Rush, the iconic Canadian rock band comprised of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart, has...
I wish I had time to go and see Geddy wearing a cap and gown.
My hometown university is awarding Rush an Honorary Doctor of Music Degree at this month's convocation.

Toronto has a home court advantage - artificial turf. The stuff in the skydome now is way better than the original turf but most teams get very little exposure to it these days since there are only...
Just FWIW, the Mets and the Blue Jays played games Friday and Saturday in Montreal to lots of nostalgia about the Expos. (There was a tribute to Gary Carter and guys like Tim Raines were around)....
The Zenmate plug-in for google chrome allows you to choose servers in other countries to avoid geo-blocking. It's free and easy and you could 'be' in England to do the download.
I'm glad someone else here saw the play I saw.
I made it to a couple of Prog Farms from Canada, but that was pretty easy since they have a large dorm full of bunk beds for people to use. We were able to borrow sleeping bags.
:up
At least we've got a good song! ;)
Well I'm still annoyed that MLB started requiring 'Take me out to the Ballgame'. Toronto has their own song, which is much more lively and enthusiastic, and we did quite well without TMOTTB. Now 'O K...
Munenori Kawasaki. The logical move is to send him down when Reyes comes back, but I think us fans would strangle management if they did. He's been the best story and most fun player this year....
Blue Jays now at .500 after winning 9 in a row.
Jose Reyes is rehabbing in Buffalo (AAA) and will probably return to the Jays early next week.
And for the other half . . . Blue Jays swept Texas. Have won 9 of last 12. Only 4 under .500, which is amazing given the early season and the starting pitching - I think it's now 12 or 13...
Somehow I find a game being decided on a bloop single to be disappointing no matter who wins. Nonetheless, in this case, I think I shall cheer. :)
I like them a lot. Enough so that I bought Syrinx and Thork albums since they have many of the same members. I do prefer Nil, though.
It's not called Extra Innings here (Super Sports Pack), but I get all MLB games, and the way things are going these days I'm not watching the Blue Jays much. My favourite division at the moment is...
Somehow my favourite albums have him book-ended. I really like the self-titled one and my favourite of his newer stuff is Americana. It must be nice to have the ability and vision to try something...
I've never before seen anyone actually decide to plant horsetails. They are the worst weed there is. They spread like crazy and cannot be controlled. Seriously. I think you should re-consider this....
Masochist?
I think you're right. I was at the Skydome on Saturday and the two homeruns hit went a looonngg way.
Just maybe I should post this on the main board, but ......... the person who will throw out the first pitch of the season for the Blue Jays is ..... Geddy Lee!
How much better can you get on a...
That wouldn't be my Pink Floyd moment. Mine would be Umma Gumma, the studio album. After PATGOD and ASOS that was a definite shock - in a good way. Definitely a 'where did that come frrom' ?
I actually start tuning college basketball out on Selection Sunday. I most enjoy the conference season and the conference tournaments. By the NCAA tournament, after watching since November I find I'm...
Dead Can Dance, Steeleye Span
So what do people think about the 'World Baseball Classic'. I think it's a bad time for it to happen. Pitchers are still only pitching 2 innings, and now they're going into 'real' games? The USA has...
The Red Sox are now saddled with the old Blue Jays coaching staff. The Yankees are old - have they much left? The Rays are quite good, and don't count out the O's. Can the Blue Jays get it together...
Off topic, but related, I really like the Thunderclap Newman - Hollywood Dream album. Even though Townsend formed the band, I know he just played with it in the studio , but completists might want to...
I've somehow missed the Vaughn Williams symphonies. As an impatient teenager I disliked playing his music since the parts I got were so boring - of course the whole is quite good. In any case, I'm...

There's a TSO other than the Toronto Symphony Orchestra?
I'm glad I was wrong about the trade. Yes, Dickey probably won't have another season like the last one, but if he has any kind of success and eats over 200 innings it's all good. What the Mets got...
I think you're right.
update: just checked and he came to the Blue Jays in the Roy Halliday deal.
There's still quite a bit in the farm system and a couple of guys from the big team could be traded. For instance, J P Arencibia is the current catcher but the catcher of the future (Travis d’Arnaud)...
I'll take the last part first. It's really too early to tell. There are lots of trades and free-agent signings yet to go. The Blue Jays may even flip a player or two out of their plunder. The only...
Can you imagine how many GMs out there wish they'd been in on this gift?
I suppose you've all heard the rumours about the Blue Jays/Marlins trade. I hope it works out since it makes sense for both teams. The Marlins are cutting payroll, as they do periodically. The Blue...
