Assuming there's no involvement from Martin or other Tull alumni.

I do wonder about the addition of the background singers. Not a lot of harmonies in latter day Genesis.

I believe this can be done on the pc version of Spotify, but not the phone version.

Echo in the Canyon was fun. Made me play some Byrds for awhile.

Certainly hope American dates will be added for early next year. With the size of Genesis shows you would think they would have to to cover production costs.

Exactly right!
Terrific news!
Bela Fleck and the Flecktones have a Christmas album that is quite fun:

Their 12 Days of Christmas is quite clever!
I'm holding off listening to the singles and will wait for the album release. Not like they'll get overplayed, but I want to go in cold.

Yep, that sounds like Peter.
It looks like Peter Gabriel has moved his solo discography to Bandcamp.

It's interesting that an...
I've always wondered about that, too. I thought perhaps all the albums would be released that way, then ... nothing.
Closest show is 19 hours away. :(
Iron Maiden has a few

Just saw that he's playing in Minneapolis. I've never seen him live.
Seems like musicians have been dropping like flies lately. And, with Ginger's lifestyle, it's surprising he's made it this far.

FLACs are available from Qobuz, at least. That's were I got mine.
I picked up Your Wilderness on a whim (mostly because Gavin played on it). I enjoyed it, but it didn't drive me to dig into their catalog. Hearing that their earlier stuff is a bit more progressive,...
I do wish for these releases that I could get just the Blue-Ray disc for the HD and surround mixes. I have no interest in an extra 6 CDs, a book, and a box.
It's supposed to give you notifications when an artist released new music or has a baby or something. I've never received any notifications that I recall. I might have silenced it, but most of my...
I like everything I've heard by them. Guy's voice is indeed superb. One of the few modern singers that grabs me.

I really like most of the songs on the alum.
Signal to Noise being my favorite. And I find myself singing The Drop in the shower quit often.
Barry Williams and My Head are the weakest tracks,...
He's attempting to be more diplomatic. I'm doubtful it'll pay off, but still hopeful.

I've only ever heard her cover of the Who Sell Out album. From the looks of it, I'll have to check out some more of her stuff. I really like her version of Red.
The recent trend of group + orchestra has not been terribly successful in my ears. At least not for the bigger names that have tried it (Metallica and Kiss come to mind).
But, it's been done right...
I did not even know she sang. That is really quite terrific.

An Animals box would be great. That and WYWH are my favorite Floyd.
I'm just "ok" with post-Roger Floyd.
"Chance to see" would be #1. If it's a band's that doesn't play in the are often, or a farewell show, gotta rank order based on that.
Distance to gig, ticket price, and an estimation as to which...
Seems like shipping is rolling out slowly no matter the source. My discs from DGM just shipped yesterday.
Most of my music is on a server I run at home. But, I really don't get much of a chance to sit down and listen to music anymore. I put selected pieces on my phone play while typing reports at work or...
Hey, these guys are good! See, this is why I come here. I doubt I would have ever found these guys otherwise.

Sounds like there's a few of us on here that just don't get Tom.
I actually really want to like Tom Waits. I like his tramp/hipster persona and the sound of his voice. But, other than Ol 55, his...
Wouldn't that be part of the Power to Believe stand alone release? These get so confusing.

Odd. Checked again and it's still saying no.

I'm getting a "This item does not ship to the United States" message at Amazon.co.uk. And the US price is just too high.
This is a great show. Still waiting for them to release collector's boxes of live shows (though they never will).
That is surprising that Samsung is dropping out of Blu-Ray players entirely. After all, they don't just play BD discs. They play CDs and DVDs just as well. And Samsung did make some pretty cheap...
I've only watched one video (The Genesis, Dance on a Volcano one).
Enjoyable enough. He definitely knows what he's talking about.
If he does more prog, I might check them out. I might not. I...
Well, that's a lot more than I expected. 16 CDs. 8 of them previously unreleased. Cool. I don't normally go for the big boxes, but it is tempting.

Just played it a few days ago. And they did 3 songs from it the last time I saw him (with Sting-a-ling-a-ding-dong). Don't think it's overlooked.
Yeah, I believe P1 is the only one that recorded in the studio. May be a bit too much of the Projekcs for me, but I think the hook is set at this point.

He's pretty obscure in my parts. I know a nerdy college kid or two that enjoy his music, but outside of that he's pretty unknown.
What a shame. Very talented singer.
This should be for the October release.
From the January DGM post:
I've never actually watched one of his videos. It was fun! Think I'll check out a few more.

Or just "Sweedie".
I haven't been able to get into the Flower Kings as of yet. I can tell they're good, they just don't click with me.
I haven't tried this one, though. Perhaps I should give it a spin.
My favorite album, as well. Not sure why, and I don't think it's important to justify liking any particular piece of art. People like what they like.
Wow, you guys make me feel so young! ;)
My first real concert (pretty sure):
Iron Maiden, Bloomington MN
April 17 1987
Don't remember a lot of it. No idea what the tickets went for.
Chicks in...
I've tried listening to it, and wind up getting board very quickly in. I do like the live clips with Ray that I've seen. I suppose they're from that Live in Poland Top Cap mentioned. Is that an...
My biggest issue now is finding titles!
Apparently, most of these 5.1 releases are only issued once, then they're gone forever.
Even massively popular titles, like the Who's Tommy. There was a 5.1...
I'm running both a Plex and Subsonic server on a PC in the basement, running the LAN into a ROKU and out to my 5.1 receiver.
The ripped surround files are being encoded to 5.1 FLAC.
Resurrecting this thread for my own selfish reasons (tee hee)
I'm finally starting to take out the 5.1/Surround albums I've accumulated over the years (mostly Genesis, Crimson, Who, and Floyd) and...
They were my favorite band when I was a teen. Haven't listened to them much in the last couple of decades, but every once in a while I'll throw on a piece or two.
Live, they could really cook, but...
You don't have to buy them.

If it has the little inner circle in the tray, then it should. Add those discs read from the inside to the outside, so it really should be able to play it.
