Chain Lightning - Rush
Apparently tour dates will be announced on April 2.
I've had mine up all winter with a warming light just in case a vagrant (Anna's, Rufous, etc.) wanted to swing by. No luck.
Get it up soon! The hummers should be in Florida any day now!
Dave's a great guy and a great player. I wonder if he's ever played any of this stuff for Billy Joel.
SF - Any update on a street date?
Love this qualifier. Classic Dave!

Correct!
That's ironic because during soundcheck his guitar was screaming. So much so, that he alone was over the decibel limit for the War Memorial. He was not happy to be told to turn down.
Excellent suggestion
Did you get the DVD (IQ, "Stage")?
Unfortunately, there are only two others. :)
I think they're holding your order because they're anticipating a repress. That said, they should not have sold something that they don't have stock of or a confirmed repress for.
Rain in the Summertime - The Alarm
I'm surprised that Roger Waters hasn't sued the stadium for putting the Division Bell statues next to the bricks.
Glad to see this on someone's list!
1. Pasinkel, Maraude automnale (France)
2. Essor Et Chute, Essor et Chute de notre Civilisation (France)
3. Gravity Fields, Disruption (Spain)
4. Agusa,...
Lots of vagrant flycatchers out there this year!
Western Kingbird
Tropical Kingbird
Western Flycatcher
Ash-throated Flycatcher
Red-flanked Bluetail
All within 2.5 hours of me.
If anyone within a few hours of Manchester Township, NJ, there is a mega-rare bird there. A Red-flanked Bluetail was found in a neighborhood on Tuesday. This bird is native to eastern Asia, so it's a...
I have a feeling that they're all junk. Most of them seem to be pretty expensive.
True. Eye color is definitely a good field mark, but can be tough to see especially at distance. Shape is another good differentiator. Starlings have that ovoid body with the shorter jet fighter...
Red-winged Blackbirds can be seen in murmurations in the winter. We had some massive ones here in early February 2023. Grackles, starlings and cowbirds can also be mixed in and if you're really...
The book is great. Geddy's style is very engaging. Lots of deep insight. Just beware of Chapter 3 and the second to last chapter. Tough reads.
I have no covered two NEARfest 2009 t-shirts, one tan and one black. Both use Youth Large.
$15 each
$5 shipping
DM me if interested.
I can't put Geddy's book down, so the rest of Rik's will have to wait.
So let's put this in perspective:
$275 for the vinyl
$42 for the CDs (once Book 3 is out, assuming $14 each)
I know it's a boxed set, but it's the same music. :)
*Rik Emmett ;)
Same. I'm reading them at the same time.
The Fripp episode was great. He really seemed to be having a blast and did Daryl. It was also eluded by Daryl and Robert that they may be working together again at some point.
I highly recommend...
Time Again - Asia
Not only that, but after reading the Triumph chapter of Rik's new memoir, he wrote a majority of the material. After "Just a Game," all songwriting credits were given to the band in the spirit of...
The pertinent info:
"Gone" and "I Am... You Are" were originally written for his 2000 solo effort "My Favourite Headache," but they didn't end up on the album. Lee came across them while sifting...
Whoa. That's one jacked website.
I'm sure you're joking about a plastic lawn ornament but there actually have been two flamingos in Franklin County, PA.

I went out to see them a week and a half ago. Two days later, the...
I was at every FG show. ;)
Michael Caplan stayed with Sony 550. He later was with a different subsidiary of Sony called Or Music. He was instrumental in the release of Particle's debut album "Launchpad" in 2004.
I think that's one of Alex's self-portrait paintings.
Alex's hollow body Gibson is next to the Lerxst amp.
Not bad if you like Rabin! The main riff is eerily similar to Tom Petty's "Jammin' Me."
He may be getting this from an interview that Steven Wilson did with Progression back in 1996. I remember reading it before seeing Porcupine Tree at ProgScape that summer. I thought *at that time*...
Here Among the Cats - Max Webster
Spreadsheet?! What about putting them in Discogs?
Paskinel is excellent. Lots of juicy Fender Rhodes with great bass and guitar playing. Big Canterbury and fusion vibes. For programmed drums, they're very good, fwiw.
Ray plays bass on "Cowboy Poems Free", "mei" and the new album, plus the songs that bigjohnwayne listed above.
Ray is playing bass on the new album.
Love that Dave referenced Oingo Boingo!
Yes, they are finishing up their new album. Last I heard, Chris will be doing the last of the vocals at the end of June.
As for them playing live, your guess is as good as mine. That's not an easy...
I used safflower for the same reason.
All Night Long - Rainbow
I've had jelly and oranges out for a few weeks. Nothing in the yard yet. However, I've seen several Baltimore Orioles and Orchard Orioles while out birding over the last week.
Go to Conowingo in October and you might see as many as 200 Bald Eagles at time.
In 'n' Out - Van Halen
Yes, they are pretty rare here in PA. However, we had a group over-winter at Nottingham Country Park in SW Chester County this year. In fact, they were still there as of last Saturday. They are...
The migrants are really starting to trickle in here. Our local Yellow-throated Warbler pair is back and singing up a storm. I took these photos last Wednesday.

Wood Ducks are gorgeous, but super skittish. Approach with stealth.
Long-tailed Ducks are awesome. The male's black and white plumage is really cool... and that namesake tail! We get a lot of them...
I've never heard of someone leaving their Rush fandom at Hemispheres. What a dolt.
Spring migration is in full swing! Get our there and find the migrants!
That giant list from 1981 is missing Rush's "Moving Pictures" and "Exit Stage Left."
Woodcock mating displays are cool. They're funny birds.

Not uncommon. They're likely scanning different areas for prey.
High Moon - Star One
Birds are moving! I've had three good ones in the last two days!
- Clay-colored Sparrow
- Long-tailed Ducks
- Black Scoter
It's actually a brand new painting. Roger has been showing progress on his IG and FB pages specifically saying that it was for the new Yes album.
