Another nice video of J&A from last summer, filmed with permission and posted by a PE member and pal:

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere. If so, I'll delete this thread.
Tix on sale this Friday: http://www.thelincolndc.com/
Don't have time to browse through the rest of this thread, so sorry if this was already posted: there's several YT video clips of Goblin's gig in Baltimore at the beginning of October. (This guy also...
Ed - if it is indeed an early show, it might not be that hard to find some street parking, thus saving some bucks. The 9:30 Club is a place I never want to go to if a show is sold out, so I plan on...
A little bit of their wackiness and talent:

Duh. Good point, Rich. I didn't think of that. I did call the venue and the woman told me:
Parking lots open at noon
Venue opens at 2:00
Music at 3:00 [but I assume that means one of the bands...
This revised band lineup/schedule has been posted a few places:
Set times:
Volto! 3:45 - 4:35
Carl Palmer 5:00 - 5:50
Renaissance 6:15 -...
What someone posted on Yesfans.com ...
Here is info provided by vip package FESTIVAL INFORMATION
Festival doors open at 2:00PM each day. When you arrive at thefestival, you will have access to...
I don't have the time to go through all the thread messages right now, but was wondering if anyone's seen/posted the actual lineup/band times for the day?
No, it doesn't. I think it maxes at 150 with no seating, which is how many tickets were sold for the infamous Bruford/Levin/Torn/Botti shows (two sets) many years ago. Even if 100 people show up, the...
Just made it back here to add a note that I heard the Nektar show at Sully's was cancelled.
My guess is that the turnout will be good. Philly has long been known as very supportive of old-school prog rock, and I imagine there are tons of people who are into Yes/Genesis/ELP but haven't...
I find it a bit dumb since they're obviously making wordplay on the phrase "heavy metal," but Jethro Tull isn't.
OK ... what's the deal on this, anyone? How can LiveNation say that tickets are going on sale right now, but then the event "is no longer in our database"?
How annoying.
Don't necessarily doubt you, but how do you know?
Incorrect. The Howard offers tables and chairs on the main floor if the artist wants it and/or (I assume) they don't sell that many tickets. SW was the first show I've been to at the Howard where...
Well, Carl Palmer did an autograph session after the show at the Howard.
So glad the Ram's Head is more convenient for two of you--and presumably others. It isn't for other people. This is a...
Uh...'cuz the Ram's Head is 44 miles from my house and the Howard is 12. And it's worse for some people who live in the DC area. That couple I mentioned were willing to venture 25 miles into DC....
If this is true, that's great, and if there's proof of that, then it's an argument supporting what friends and I have maintained for a while regarding shows in the DC area: there's just plain too...
OK, maybe not "prog," but I think it's just plain dopey to limit such a discussion to prog ...

The answer to that is 'yes and no.' There were 750-1000 people who showed up for Steve Wilson at the same venue. It's certainly a combination of factors that resulted in such a small turnout for CP....
I'm not really trying to stir up trouble or point fingers or start another 25-page thread, but I thought I'd report back that despite plenty of energy and professionalism on Carl Palmer's part last...
Nothing I've written--I don't think...but I'm not going to bother checking--has criticized anyone for going to these shows. If anyone wants to consider a show "the concert of a lifetime," I think...
Seconded. Especially when most people are factoring in gas, food/beverage, parking fees, etc.
Getting too late for me to look at every single word that everyone's written, but just wanted to say that the 'economics' being different for artists really doesn't matter to the vast majority of...
^ I'm with progman1975 on this. I just snagged a Carl Palmer ticket for next week's show in DC for a grand total, including svc. charges, of $21, using Goldstar. The regular ticket price was $30. I'm...
Gonna have to pull my copy off the shelf and relisten. I thought this album was a lot older.
For those keeping score ... I've always liked From Genesis to Revelation. I'd be happy to put it on the player right now.
OK, I'll bite, even though the thread is about UK, and personal tastes in music is not one of the factors I was discussing in my previous post. So does your comment mean you've never listened to...
Contrast this vs. Steve Wilson, with a great band of five other talented musicians, charging $25 or so, and there being a ton of other entertainment (concert/live show) options for $10-$20, at least...
IMHO, there are no really appropriate record stores in the DC area where he could do a signing. Yes, there are some vinyl shops, but none that are 'glitzy' or that would be too in-tune with the likes...
Really? Anyone here ... has this happened very much with any DVDs you have?
This may be a crass question, but I was wondering if anyone would like to share your total outlay of cash for your trip, tickets and sundry purchases together...
I have less and less time/energy to read everything on PE nor everything in this thread, but I am glad you posted this, Duncan, and it bothers me that if this "term of service" is in place, that it...
Obviously.
If anyone is 'on the fence' regarding the DC show, you can get a half-price ticket at Goldstar: http://www.goldstar.com/e/66598 . There's no reserved seating at the Howard, so getting a seat this way...
Hahaha. Says the Frenchman who writes and speaks better English than 99.999% of all Americans.
"Carrys"? Really?
Just found this thread. Uh ... tickets for a show 9 months from now? This is nuts.
Great show last night at The Birchmere in Alexandria, VA. It was a good, responsive crowd, maybe not entirely sold out (500+), but still a good crowd. It looked to me like all the guys on stage were...
Do you always enjoy crapping on a band's effort just a few messages into a thread started by one of the band's members? Yes, Bill is a great musician, but he's out. I listened to the CD just once so...

If you only mention five artists, it's hard to know what you *haven't* heard.
