Looking to unload one ticket for the Jon Anderson 1000 Hands tour at the Birchmere in Alexandria, Va.
Selling the ticket for face value - $85 (waving the extra $18 I paid in service fees).
...
Gotcha, thanks for the response...and damn!
Does anyone have a sense of whether more dates will be added to this tour? Its turning out to be more interesting that the average summer Yestival... thanks in advance for any insight here!
REALLY hoping we get the full St. Louis show, that would be tremendous (what a setlist!).... but if I were to bet I'd say you're probably spot on. These anniversary reissues have been such a...
Agreed... this is a nice surprise, something to look forward to this spring
Third on The Other Half, which was also on my list... wonderful tune. Also like the inclusion of Interior Lulu, .com is one of my favorite Marillion records (any era), nearly top to bottom.
Encouraging... really looking forward to a full listen... and I think that middle section of Fall into the Light is great.
Really difficult to just have 10 to choose from and like others this can change by the day, but here goes (not in order and H era heavy):
Gazpacho
The Invisible Man
Man of 1000 Faces
Sugar...
^Um, thanks for that sourcing. Sounds great and superior to the original, regardless.
Got confirmation that there will indeed be no DC area dates this tour, unfortunately.
Agree it sure doesn't sound like the studio cut... especially the crowd screaming "Angus!" between the opening chords.
Bummed there’s no DC area date... odd as both times I saw him at the Lincoln Theater here the shows were very well attended and crowds enthusiastic.
Agree 100% re: drums .
Rush was my gateway to prog in 1981. But hearing Tull on WPLJ in NYC was also instrumental, as it caused me to delve into their back catalogue. Finally the albums Classic Yes and 90125 were huge,...
Thrilled to see fellow GBV fans on this forum.... Uncle Bob is simply the best!
The "heavier tunes," such as Dance on the Volcano, as well as Squonk, with increased bass/bass pedal sound good. Same with In that unquiet slumbers/quiet earth on W/W. There's stuff to like...
The Trick of the Tail remix sounds great IMO, and I enjoy it more than the original. W&W sounds good as well. There’s some good in these remixes.
We need all the full Saga catalog to be included on Spotify. Scattershot selection currently.
Yes agree...and Geddy recently said in the trunk interview that he has very little input..
Still, it is so obvious for them to put the full St Louis show in the PW 40 box (assuming it exists)....
Agreed. Die hard habs fan here as well... Think they can pull out wins vs Arizona and Vegas, but tonight can be a disaster in Denver.
Really hoping they reverse this mediocre course of releases with something special for Permanent Waves 40th. Namely, a full version of the amazing St Louis 80 boot. Stellar recording, and IMO their...
Such a shame they didn't play in the USA (save CTTE) on their farewell. Here's hoping they either reverse course, or do some festival one offs. Great band.
Understand/recognize the issues some have with RSD, but as a big vinyl person I choose to enjoy it and favor any event that brings dollars to my local record shop. That being said, my 2018 haul...
Amen. Theres a chance the setlist will be even more hit-laden than the last time, with less Rabin era deep(er) cuts. No thanks.
Interesting, but the venue they're playing in the DC area -- MGM Grand -- is a ridiculously over-priced venue. May need to see what the setlist is like first.
Checked out the full album via that YouTube link (thanks for posting!) as I wait patiently for the vinyl to arrive. Sounds tremendous... while I liked the 2011 version, this one has a sharper,...
In the same boat here re: waiting for the vinyl preorder... the positive reviews are getting me excited for this release. June can’t come soon enough.
Agreed, the merch looks awful with that eyesore mess of a logo, IMO.
It truly is a challenge to get everything. The fact that I dont have a CD player reduces my potential collection dramatically (and saves me a ton of dough)...
I've limited myself to collecting as...
Right -- no tracking number from Racket. Still no delivery today...
Still no vinyl box delivery in the DC suburbs...let’s GO already!
If this underwhelming setlist is the one they’re bringing to the US, going to definitely pass. The same Tales songs and LESS drama? No thanks.
Looking forward to a US Tour announcement. Frankly thought we’d get one by now. Definitely want to see him.
^^^Excellent! thanks
Mine too, got an email yesterday sayin it shipped... decided to go for the vinyl box...look forward to diving in to this monster.
Where are those US Summer Tour dates? Hope soon...
^^^^Same here, I think its a fine album, holds up for me well, no question. Excited for this release.
Above all others:
Necromancer
Fountain (whole thing)
Then...

Open Secrets
Drove out to the Greensburg, Pa show. Great, enthusiastic crowd, theater was close to full.
The band sounded fantastic and are at the top of their game, IMO. It was great to hear The Leavers...
This ones easy: Watcher.
Listened to a number of the interviews, enjoyed the Hogarth and Sherwood discussions esp. Yes Trunk seems to have the same limited knowledge of the genre/artists, but really no matter. He asks good...
Thanks very much for posting this :up
I was there as well, and vividly remember the non stop booing. Took me much longer for Marillion to become one of my favorite bands (only in the past 3 years or so), so plenty more shows/weekends...
Too bad they didn’t have a proper US farewell, never had the chance to see them. Great band indeed.
Better Call Saul is fantastic.
Excellent tune, but my vote for greatest prog song ever goes to The Cinema Show.
Ha indeed!
Amen. Saw the band 27 times since the 1982 Signals tour. Huge part of my teen and adult years, my all time favorite band. Thrilled that they produced such great music and live shows over the years...
My all time favorite Floyd album until recently.... Id now say its slightly behind Meddle on my personal list. Animals is an amazing album with themes that still resonates today.
Nice... enjoying all of John's recent releases (Frost*/Lonely Robot)... definitely in for this!
Same here
Excellent! Think I’ll wait for that. The deluxe vinyl is a bit steep. Thanks again! :up
Many thanks!
Question (for anyone in the know): Will the Wilson remix be available via stand alone vinyl as they did with the misplaced childhood reissue?
Immediate auto buy.
^^^ fair point.
Thought the same for years and couldnt agree with you more. :up
Totally agree re TL and UH... . and 99.9% of those hair metal bands are a joke. However, they shouldnt be done with metal altogether. Priest and Maiden are well deserving of induction and will get...
Thrilled that The Cars are going in.
