Just to let people know, these shows are coming up this fall. For more information, go to...
I'm looking forward to the Oscars--watch it every year. I have a feeling that Lincoln's going to clean up. Haven't seen it, but I've been wanting to.
Just checked out the BPC website. Tickets go from $27.50 to $45. We'll see.
Am looking forward to hearing this when it's released. I missed him on tour last time, but I'm strongly considering seeing him this time.
Enjoy the shows, everyone!
It's about two weeks before my birthday. Seriously considering this, but not sure...
My husband is seriously into Gravedigger these days.
I got most of my christmas haul before christmas, wrestling books that I needed as research for my website. What I got on Christmas:
Symphonic Resonance--Arch/Matheos
The Nightmare Before...
One that comes to mind, though not a musician--I saw Bill Hicks the year before he died. Glad I was able to.
I have a few of their albums, and I really like Battle Hymn. For a while, I was in contact with Glenn, but I lost touch with him. Great guy, and very talented.
It wasn't made to be taken seriously, and from that perspective, it's not a bad album. Jonas Psaltar is really good.
Happy Holidays everyone!
Best Christmas song of all time--2000 miles.
This has been posted before, and it's a classic!
Congrats to them!
Very melodic, very mellow--nice work!
I would have to say Killing Joke--MMXII. This album blew me away.
Porcupine Tree--Anesthetize
Phideaux--Snowtorch
Nice.
ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!!!!
Wenner let Rush into the RRHOF. I guess hell froze over.
Great! Thanks.
Did the Dushanbe website get dismantled? I did a google search, and I couldn't find it, and I did a search on Internet Archive, and that turned up with nothing either.
Will have to check out the Riot album. My husband and I are fans.
Today is the anniversary of Frank Zappa's death. This is a thread meant for tributes, commisserations, etc., and I really think it belongs on the main board.
I've always thought that John Evans was one of the most remarkable keyboardists in progressive rock. And there's no denying John Glascock's talent--he's one of my favorite bassists.
Recent acquisition--MMXII-Killing Joke. I scooped this up when I saw it a Newbury Comics, because I didn't even know it was available in the country yet! Nice album. I'll have to re-evaluate my list.
Totally agree. Minstrel is probably their most underrated album, and BSM is brilliant. Very sharp social commentary here.
I'd say it has. I've discovered so many bands and my wallet has suffered for it!
Definitely want to get this one!
Does anyone know when Randy Blythe will stand trial in the Czech Republic? The only thing I saw on the website was that there was an auction for his defense fund.
Can you trade it to me? I've got a ton of Tull boots.
Thank you for setting this up! I like the new layout--it's more organized than the old PE was. Very nice |)

Suppose we have to mention Rush [/QUOTE]
Suppose we do. Clockwork Angels was OK, but Rush is kind of coasting on their reputation at this point.
Wing Beat Fantastic--Mike Keneally
Phideaux--Mogon teaser (if that counts)
Storm Corrosion--s/t
Izz--Crush of Night
Marprog--A Work of Art (A live selection of songs from the two Marprogs)...
