But....but.....but.....that's not Prog!
Actually, it is, of a sort. Good stuff, and Anthony is one monster guitarist. Did he really do all that without overdubs? And Joe + Brendan lay a mighty foundation under him - they could maybe challenge him a little more rhythmically, and in particular harmonically. But they're rock guys, not jazz guys, laying one hell of a solid foundation is what they do, and they do it very well.
Anthony is a master looper. Master.
Was it all done without overdubs? I don’t know.
But I’ve seen them and they more than pull it off live.
Sweetness - must hear more....
Listened to it today, pretty much presses all the buttons I want from a modern fusion trio. Excellent stuff.
Oh Yessssss.
I *really* like the "otherworldliness" (for lack of a better word) of "Once Upon A Time".
^ Yes.
I would agree with this. This was most prominent in the first song and last song (although the ending song is pretty low key so I suppose it wasn't meant to be challenging rhythmically). But overall not too bad in this regard. I suppose this is really all about the guitar as well. And damn...the guitar is boss mostly all the way through. Probably will buy.
Wayside has it.Pounce.
Gonna have to grab this soon.
This is very-very good. It's not Prog, it's Pirog!
Just ordered the vinyl - so no more sneaking in bandcamp. It's a serious ass-bruiser.
Glad to see everyone digging this. Anthony has some more interesting releases coming up towards the end of this year and into 2019.

I checked this out. The guitarist is one creative guy and a great player. The rhythym secction is pretty basic. They lay down a repetitive groove and let Anthony Pirog add all the color. I'd like it more if the rhythym section was busier.
I agree. But, they're rock guys, and playing basic is what they do. Yes, Fugazi apparently used to sometimes improvise onstage, so they do have experience in improvised music. But I would guess that they played in a similar fashion back then, if only because that does usually work in a rock context. And, because even though Anthony Pirog could certainly deal with the rhythm section throwing in changes, Ian McKaye and Guy Picciotto (the guitarists in Fugazi) might have had trouble with that.
