That's just the programming; it would be easy to fix. A lot of newer bands want a perfect performance; that's why they program parts and use editing to get bass, drums and vocals that have that crazy precision...

Saw this on No Treble's site. They're looking for songs to be programmed into the thing. It is what it is, but it ain't a bass player.

Pat Metheny's Orchestrion has several guitar versions of that technology, where instead of a conventional guitar with machinery to fret and pick it, there are a set of discrete mechanized one-string-willies.
