It looks like I'm going to buy Wavepad for personal use (not working with musicians) at home. Those of you that "know your" sound editing software, would you recommend the Master's Edition or the Standard Edition?

VST plugins are an absolute must in this day and age. The Master's Edition would be the only way to go for this reason. Not even having an SFX library in the Standard Edition would be a deal breaker for me. At the very least, one would need audio compression, which would only be an option with the Master's Edition.

Somebody lent me a copy of Wavelab to use for a little while. Mainly what I've done with it is import (live) roio files, put markers in them, bump up the input level if necessary, and save and burn.

thanks for your input, Mat. I found the Master's Edition on ebay for less than I would've paid NCH for the Standard Edition. And that listing was down to 3 more hours.
