Just to let some of you know,Midlake a band out of Texas released a new cd. Antiphon
check it out,it's very ole school prog.

I downloaded Antiphon from iTunes. It's a good record, though I haven't given it a 'full attention" listen yet.

this album needs to be heard.reminds me of many early prog bands..alan parsons,moody blues,etc.. hope you give it a full listen.cheers!!

funny, I just posted a review of that album on PA....

I'd heard the previous two , but this one is rather different, because their lead singer and main songwriter left the band...

they kind of rebound relatively well, but they develop a form of retro-prog

Fave track on the album is Ages...

I've been listening to Antiphon & their previous two all day... Since my earlier post. Yes, this CD needs a wider audience. I agree with Trane regarding Ages. Great track!
If you dig the ambience of this album, check out the new Jonathan Wilson CD, Fanfare. Some good psychedelia mixed with CSN-ish vocals. A great vibe.
Former Midlake main songwriter, Tim Smith, is working on a new project titled "Harp" which hasn't been completed.
