Sometimes I am really in the mood for a little Depeche Mode. Is it ok to admit that?

I think they've written some amazing tunes and are totally underrated.

Sniff, sniff. I smell SPAM.
This guy was on the old PE under a different name peddling the same thing under the guise of a Yazoo thread.

Sniff, sniff. I smell SPAM.

As do I. Although I do like Depeche Mode.

One of the first bands that I truly loved, nearly ruined by an ex-girlfriend who was obsessed with them. Yet truth be told this band will always have a soft spot in my heart.

Black Celebration is my all time favorite Depeche Mode album.

I quite enjoy some DM now and then. Great band, Martin Gore is a fantastic songwriter.
Nice to see them get some love here at PE.

its only spam if we go to that site. Depeche Mode is killer and even their new stuff is really well done. "violator" is a classic album but they do seem to have a consistency about their songs/albums vocals et al.

The only Depeche Mode that I have is Songs Of Faith And Devotion. I wanted to get it cause I heard that it was rockier that their other releases. Plus, Dave Gahan looked like a rock star in the vids for that album, with the long hair and beard.

I just can't get enough...., saw them live back around 1984, at Perkins Palace in Pasadena, they were cool then, a bit gloomy and not all full of themselves, some bouncer man-handled a chick trying to rush the stage and the band got all pissed and walked off the stage for about 15 minutes...

like “ultra” but that’s about it. i sort of grew up with their music but they have always left me stone cold.
