How do I quote a portion of another's post in a group thread?

I'm in a group thread.I want to quote a portion of a friends post and paste it in a reply of my own.There is no 'reply with quote" feature in groups.How do i accomplish this?Thanks.

Use the manual quote method.... (minus the spaces I'll put here) [ QUOTE ] paste text you want to quote here [ /QUOTE ]

And yes, Duncan has put in a request to have a quote feature added to groups.
