Over the past 10 years we have had a series of shows called CalProg Nights. These shows are in an intimate environment where you are close enough to interact with the artists and other fans while having dinner and/or your favorite beverages. We hold them at what is known as the PREMIER jazz club in Orange County, Steamers Jazz Club and Cafe in Fullerton. We are happy to announce the next installment will be on Wednesday November 28 and it will feature the talented, funny and friendly founder of (and primary writer for) the original It Bites, Francis Dunnery. He will be performing his "House Concert" with Dorie Jackson assisting on vocals. You will hear classic IB songs like "Yellow Christian", "Kiss Like Judas", "Old Man and The Angel" and many more in an unplugged and informal atmosphere.
I'd like to invite you to come hang out with the CalProg staff and many of your prog friends for a night of classic and unique music. Also performing will be CalProg alum Nima Rezai and "The Collective". He is a master of the Chapman Stick and their Persian influenced jazz/prog/world music is a warm mellow wind that will wash over you like a desert breeze, and a great way to end the evening.
