If you only mention five artists, it's hard to know what you *haven't* heard.

I might recommend http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXMatY-sCIc&feature=relmfu .

First two Ambrosia albums, Renaissance (start with Turn of the Card, Scheherezade and/or Novella), Hatfield and the North, Zappa (try out any of Waka/Jawaka, Grand Wazoo, One Size Fits All, Roxy & Elsewhere), Chicago II, Phideaux (Doomsday Afternoon, Number Seven), and if you want a challenge, some Van der Graaf Generator, maybe From H to He for a start.

Gentle Giant is a "must explore" given your list. Start with the first (self titled)

Big Big Train would scratch some of that Genesis itch.

If you're a Kate fan, I'd recommend 'Happy Rhodes - 'Many Worlds Are Born Tonight'.

...or MC Hammer, he's too legit to quit.
