I don't think this is what Henry's been talking about.. I seem to remember he mentioned a larger boxset.. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Transmission-Impossible-3cd-Yes/dp/B09M8922YW/ref=mp_s_a_1_23?keywords=Yes&qid=1639993148&s=music&sr=1-23&fbclid=IwAR28BNGs9X6RjJd06g_l6gz6twkAF8SDM9_GrHhCg 2-jbotbcuUtbxmbgcU

This looks like something seriously on the verge of being a bootleg.

Could be.. Amazon is very lax on what they allow people to sell on their site these days..

It's not illegal, just not authorised by the band as they dont own the rights and wont recieve a penny from sales!

At first glance, this appears to just be the same old BBC sessions trotted out again. There are various titles, the one I have is called Something's Coming, featuring a Peter Banks dig at Steve Howe in the liner notes.

There is a "Transmission Impossible" series I have seen, (Byrds, Bee Gees, Eagles, The Band, etc have been part of it), those are boots and I would think this might be just one of those

I think thta's the one I've got too. I think Peter says something about how Steve likes to pretend Yes only existed when he was teh guitarist, and Peter's like, "Sorry, mate, but I was there first!"

The description says it also has other stuff on it besides the BBC recordings, though it doesn't specifically identify which tracks are from which source.

Seems so. The “label” is Eat to the Beat and that seems to be the title of most of their releases: https://www.discogs.com/label/857535-Eat-To-The-Beat

They are official bootlegs! YES's Open The Gates is their best live album I own! Perfect!

They aren't 'official' by any stretch of the imagination. They just aren't 100% illegal due to loopholes.

They are official bootlegs!

Evidently we don't agree on the meaning of "official bootleg". It's a jokey oxymoron that was first used by bands when releasing live albums that were either intended for a specialist audience and/or had sound quality below professional standards.

But it can only be "official" in my book if the artists themselves decided to put it out.

Otherwise you could still call them "legal" or "semi-legal" bootlegs. That's still an oxymoron but closer to the truth. Although as Progatron says they're only "legal" because of inconsistencies in copyright laws from one country to another.

I'm sure most if not all of "Somethings Coming" is included but there are definitely things listed that were not, Eleanor Rigby among them!

Has anyone seen or heard this release yet?
