I'm a bit lost in the new folk and post-folk and anti-folk world.
NSRO, Admirals Hard is about all I know.

Any tips Colin?

I'm not sure of the various folk sub genres, but if one were to consider Loreena McKennit and Damien Rice in the folk stream, then I'd also place Moulettes as a new Brit folk outfit.

Except that the thread is clearly titled "English folk" not British nor Irish. Loreena is Canadian and sings Irish folk music.

The best of English folk these days is Eliza Carthy, Spiers and Boden, Bellowhead, Andy Cutting, Chris Wood, and (not entirely English, much French) Blowzabella.

UPDATE: And always Martin Carthy.
