i like it, but it looks a bit dated with its heavy emphasis on dean’s early period pointilism (“views” period).
I'd actually forgotten that
Indeed... ... in the 70's, I'd have spent sleepless weeks wondering whether to buy it or not.... at least until I got to Records On Wheels (in Mississauga) where the shopmaster would've played it for me

and yes, that logo on their latest is.... to say the least: disputable
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
I love the muted colors in this one. But the lettering kills it for me. I would have left it off completely.

I absolutely love the lettering - both the "font" and color choice. Love that red against the green.
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally
The red against the green is a nice contrast, but I find that font very difficult to read. Unreadable lettering = bad idea! The white band logo is OK at best. Again, I think it would be a better cover without the distraction of a semi-lame logo and unreadable title lettering. But the painting is beautiful.

It doesn't look anything like Avatar
“Pleasure and pain can be experienced simultaneously,” she said, gently massaging my back as we listened to her Coldplay CD.
Here’s another new cover by Dean:
Now this has been bounced back up, I just wanted to say how much I love that Black Moth album. It was by far my favourite disc of 2014. If you like a good stoner riff and have still nit heard it, you really should ASAP.
Roger did the cover art for Art Griffin's Sound Chaser Visions of the Present album in 2016

Did Dean use the technique he used for the background for GG’s Octopus for any other work? It’s so different from his usual.
Hadn't ever seen this cover until the thread happened to pop up. Wonderful cover with a darker vibe than I'm used from Roger; glad I saw it, if eight years after the fact.

Another new one from Roger - the new Ann Wilson album:
Roger posted some new work-in-progress artwork today on his Facebook that looks rather Yessish....haven't the Yesmen been mentioning that there is another new Yes album in the works?
If we're looking at the same thing then I would say these paintings are very similar to many that have already been used for Yes.
