STUNNING Video - From Rob Reed's SANCTUARY

From the incredibly fertile mind of Rob Reed - "Sanctuary". Love the Floyd sounding guitar and he got Rick Wakeman to be in his video...just stunning!

Floyd sounding? That is a case of totally mimicking Mike Oldfield's guitar tone.

He's always had that guitar tone, since the early Cyan days. Might be going for an Oldfield sound but it's far from a new thing.

I thought that number and the video were great.

Rob is going totally for the classic Oldfield tone and feel, the whole album is one huge tribute to / inspired by concept piece that harks back to Tubular Bells. I have mine on order and cannot wait to hear it.

I too was reminded of Rick when I saw this video a few days ago, but I don't think it is him.

There is a great interview with Rob in the current issue of Prog too.

Ok...let me rephrase this so you don't have a stroke: It sounds a lot like Gilmour TO ME. Some of you really need to chill out.
