Okay, the redblooded males (and comedy fans) posting here are on the pop culture "Fail" list for not recognizing the amazing Judy Greer as the mother in these Sprint "Framily" ads. While not given anything great to do in the ads, she has turned in consistently hysterical performances on Arrested Development and Archer (as the voice of Cheryl), as well as countless other guest spots and supporting roles in feature films. Her comedic gifts are wasted in the Sprint ads, but I still dig that they gave her the job. The "college age son" is Kyle Mooney, who is in the current cast of Saturday Night Live. As such, you're off the hook there, as nobody should be expected to spot a current SNL cast member.

I knew I recognized her from somewhere. Mooney is actually pretty funny on SNL as well.

Maybe it was Jimmy Kimmel, but Ms. Greer was on a talk show very recently ( I don't usually watch any of them). She has a new book out about being virtually unknown despite being in/having a career movies, t.v. shows, etc..

Maybe I will try and catch one of the commercials if I notice. I generally ignore anything promoting cell phones.

I watch alot of baseball..see the same commercials all the time. Anyone see the Cialis one where it's two guys, but they look really similar, grayish hair, 5 O'clock shadow. One's with a blonde and one with a brunette, but it made me wonder if it was one guy banging two broads. I had to rewind it...haha

digression: I'd like to too. It just happens that My Team is the SF Giants but I live just outside of Louisville, KY (Cincy Reds territory). The Giants are on tv here only a couple of times per season, so mostly I watch Giants games on Youtube. On topc: one aspect of that that I really love is that the vids are ad-free.

I actually love these Direct TV ads, incredibly clever and downright strange. I just shake my head when these come on, amazed that someone came up with such a goofy idea, and the company approved it. And more amazing, the ad works, it does sell the product and entertain. There are 4 or 5 of them now, I hope they continue. As for the Sprint ads, I think they are ridiculous and do not make me want to switch to Sprint.

Another ad campaign I see all the time are the AT&T ads with Lily the salesperson. I like these because Lily is rather cute. Still don't want to switch to AT&T.

Someone asked "who watched commercials?". Well I avoid them if I've recorded the show on my DVR. But if you watch live TV, it's kind of hard to ignore the ads. I do mute the more annoying ones though.

I subscribe to the MLB package, where you can watch any game blah, blah blah. I like it, and I'm addicted to it at this point, so I'll probably always try to have it. But MLB's blackout rules are very frustrating at times. For example, if im not near my TV, and want to watch my local team (PGH Pirates), I cant because of the local blackout policy. Same thing happens if the Pirates and Penguins (NHL) are playing at the same time, and the local sports network is broadcasting the NHL game, then I still cant watch the MLB game, using the other teams feed even! Thats the one that drives me crazy, i pay good money for that service, I should be able to watch any game I want.

I'm really tired of the Priceline commercials with William Shatner. I just don't find him all that funny. Is that his real daughter in those commercials or an actress? She's very easy on the eyes.

Maureen McCrormick was Robert Reed's real step-daughter wasn't she?

Doesn't it always work that way?

Not his daughter. I can't remember off the top of my head what her name is, but she is one of the main cast members in the show "Big Bang Theory". Personally I have always found Shatner rather humorous. I have read both of his autobiographies and they have a lot of funny stuff in them.

Her name is Kaley Cuoco, and I think she's gorgeous.

One of his real daughters has a cameo as an ensign in Star Trek 5. She hands him a clipboard on the bridge. She's awight.

I'm with you on this for sure. She's the reason I started watching Big Bang Theory in the first place. As to Shatner, I find him hysterical, and is usually good in the Priceline ads. With all the Trek people who have guested on Big Bang Theory, I'm really surprised Shatner hasn't yet, especially after working with Kaley.

I find this funny, you don't seem to have a problem with creepiness in music, but with marionettes. That's ok, I worked with a woman who was actually creeped out by dogs dressed as people. Obviously she was no fan of William Wegman.
