Brett Kull of Echolyn Co-Producing the New Fractal Mirror CD
Fractal Mirror's second album, Garden of Ghosts is being co-produced by Brett Kull and Fractal Mirror. Expected release date is October/November 2014. Early buzz from friends and other musicians around the studio has been great!

The album is also being mixed by Brett, who has added acoustic and electric guitars and is responsible for many of the background/harmony vocals in between recording the new Echolyn CD. There will also be special guest appearances by Larry Fast, Don Fast on guitar and sitar, Jacque Varsalona, and Charlotte Koperdraat on background vocals, with a special appearance by the Echolyn choir.

Bristol UK band Flights will release their first album, entitled History Be Kind, on the 6th of October.
These guys first came to my attention when they were recommended by someone on the Porcupine Tree yahoo group (I think) in response to an enquiry about music in a similar vein to Oceansize.
(At the time I was lamenting Oceansize's recent demise having only gotten into them a few months earlier and having completely failed to notice that they had toured Australia in support of Cog!).
I checked out Flights and I was not disappointed. Whilst Oceansize are one of Flights' acknowledged influences, these four youg guys are definitely creating their own sound which they have described as "Some big guitars, some pretty guitars, irregular time signatures, harmonised vocals and a whole lotta groove."

The Ghost Of Things from the forthcoming release:

Eleven from the previously released single of the same name:

Judge from the previously released Flights EP:
"One should never magnify the harsh light of reality with the mirror of prose onto the delicate wings of fantasy's butterfly"
Thumpermonkey - How I Wrote The French Lieutenant's Woman

"I'm content to listen to what I like and keep my useless negative opinions about what I don't like to myself -- because no one is interested in hearing those anyway, and it contributes absolutely nothing to the conversation."

Pymlico will be back with their newest release 'Guiding Light' in September. Symphonic prog instrumental at its best.

Seven That Spells (Croatia) - "The Death and Resurrection of Krautrock: IO" (Released June 2014 on the Sulatron label). Didn't hear about these guys before, but doing a quick search, I saw that Spiros has mentioned an older album of theirs. The new one is the second one in a planned trilogy. Smashing stuff:

I know there are Dead Can Dance fans on PE. Here's a message from Lisa Gerrard about her new very powerful album:

WITHIN THE TWILIGHT KINGDOM - Words by Lisa Gerrard
Featuring Daniel Johns, Patrick Cassidy, Astrid Williamson and words by Russell Crowe
‘BLINDED, to walk without sorcery pressing into the sacred things that drift away as we walk towards them, ADRIFT’
‘A lament, OUR KINGDOM CAME, one of finding trust after all has been broken, to live in belief that if we have the courage to continue to love absolutely, our journey will touch, house and provide others a place of comfort and encouragement’

    Stream whole album at http://lisagerrard.com/
    Includes a free song download.
The Culture Cafe, Sundays 6-9am on WWUH-FM
Broadcasting from the University of Hartford, CT at 91.3FM, streaming at www.wwuh.streamrewind.com and at www.wwuh.org

New Dodson and Fogg video from upcoming album featuring Nigel Planer and others

new Dodson and Fogg video from upcoming album:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=672S...ature=youtu.be

Chris Wade's acclaimed recording project continues with 'In A Strange Slumber'. the sixth release by Dodson and Fogg. The album centres around the concept of dreams and death, and the connections between both subjects. At times a collage of nightmarish and dream-like imagery, the songs weave around colourfully, mixed in with short stories narrated by acclaimed British actor Nigel Planer (young Ones, Comic Strip), as if to give the listener a bed time story crackling away on an old record player. Surreal, varied and mixing numerous musical styles, including folk, rock, prog, blues and more. The album features Canadian musician Kevin Scott on piano and other instruments, Ricky Romain returns on the sitar, and appearances are made by Trees' legend Celia Humphris and Mellow Candle's Alison O'Donnell.

Introitus is a Swedish neo/symph band with 2 past excellent albums to their credit. Now they have a third, titled "Anima". If you're interested, the whole album is on Progstreaming.

I guess you mean Trioscapes. The title looks like this is a gentle album, but this is hard edge stuff with a lot of tenor saxophone-blowing and aggressive bass-leads. Stab Wounds, one of the tracks, would have been a more suitable title. Or Hysteria. But there is a some ambient stuff too plus nice flute-playing. For those who don't know the band: it was formed by Dan Briggs from Between The Buried And Me.

New albums that are right now at Progstreaming, and of which I think will appeal to people boarding this forum are, IMO

Seven Impale City Of The Sun (out on Karisma Records, though the sound is more a la D'AccorD than Airbag)
    http://www.progstreaming.com/_wb/pag...Of%20The%20Sun

Palefeather Palefeather Instrumental album that could've easily been released on Mellotronen Records
    http://www.progstreaming.com/_wb/pag...%20Palefeather

The already mentioned Hominido is also at Progstreaming. Utopianisti too.

I apparently had too much confidence in her; I'm pretty disappointed with this one. I still love her voice and production, but so far, very few of the tunes are doing it for me. I'll credit her for trying new things like the "world music" influences, but for me, her tunes aren't nearly as strong as the ones on her previous albums, especially "Speak For Yourself." Maybe she should reunite with Guy Sigworth and reanimate Frou Frou.
