I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Thank you Rene! Just to update potential European orders, the album is now available at CD Baby. It appears their shipping is less than what we can do via the postal service. It is still directly available from the band as well for now.

Yes, but as you can see on https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/proportions the CD is $ 4 more expensive, so the difference is less big.

It is with great pride and joy that we can announce the release of new music from KEITH EMERSON, performed by Academy of St Martin in the Fields. Directed by Terje Mikkelsen and featuring Rachel Flower and Ethan Emerson.

Keith Emerson Beyond the Stars is made possible by musical colleagues and family - in eternal gratitude and respect for the musical legacy of Keith Emerson. The album is released by the Norwegian company Grappa Musikkforlag on the label Simax Classics.

    https://keithemerson.no

KEITH EMERSON: Toccata con Fuoco · Beyond the Stars · Glorietta Pass · The Dreamer · After all of this · AARON COPLAND: Fanfare for the Common Man (adapted by Keith Emerson) · ALBERTO GINASTERA: Malambo · MARC BONILLA: The mourning sun · Walking Distance

Beyond the Stars is a project dedicated to the epic orchestral music of Keith Emerson – the composer. The album includes new works by Keith Emerson, performed by the one and only Academy of St Martin in the Fields under the direction of Terje Mikkelsen.

Keyboard phenomenon Rachel Flowers features as piano soloist in a ferocious reading of ’Toccata con Fuoco’ from the Piano Concerto. A special contribution comes from Keith’s grandson – 13-year old Ethan Emerson – in the beautiful ’The Dreamer’ for piano and strings.

Side A of the album was recorded at Abbey Road Studio No. 1, in eternal gratitude and respect for the musical legacy of Keith Emerson.

The product will be ship-ready by early December 2018.

Anima Mundi's new album, "Insomnia", is due out soon. In a year with a dearth of good new releases, I'll be sleepless until I get my hands on this one.

I'm not sure what you've been listening to, but this year has seen plenty of good new music released by a wide variety of groups.

Absolutely. Just listened to the new VAK last night, for one, and it is killer. So many great releases this year!

Norway is on fire. The new Needlepoint (for fans of Canterbury Scene and Genesis) and Elephant9 (for folks who like ELP but could do without the insufferable cheesiness) releases are great.

Toby Driver's new solo album came out a couple of days ago. Seems like he's improved a lot compared to last year's Madonnawhore effort. maudlin of the Well fans will probably like the track "470 Nanometers".

Just uploaded a track from this new CD, some of the best sounding new music I've heard this year. Interesting to hear a keyboardist whose roots are in jazz mellow out and play prog like the player on this CD.

    Amgala Temple (Norway)

    https://amgalatemple.bandcamp.com/

Amgala Temple is the sound of three musical forces combined. The result is an overwhelming clash of spontaneity and control, improvisation and clairvoyance - all meshed together in a quest to make something radiant.

The mix of Lars Horntveth, Amund Maarud and Gard Nilssen is a wish come true for music fans, as they each have made great impact as bandleaders, solo artists and musicians in an array of projects - be it with Jaga Jazzist, Susanne Sundfør, Todd Terje, Morudes, Bushman’s Revenge, a-ha or Gard Nilssen’s Acoustic Unity.

Ignoring the over the top PR spiel this sounds quite good.

DAMN, he works fast! My vinyl copy of Madonnawhore is still sealed in plastic! Thx for the tip, of course...

Release date is Nov 9th for both. Samples sound great.

Let's just hope for goodness' sake that there isn't any dearth of greatness on that new one by One of The Best Prog Bands In the World Today.

A very good year for actually forward-looking music.

October 12, 2018 will be the date for a double release:

1: KRAAN live album "The Trio Years“ (CD and 2LP)
Snippets can be heard here https://player.believe.fr/v2/4260186850608

2: HATTLER „Velocity“ (new studio album)
Snippets can be heard here https://player.believe.fr/v2/4260186850677

I have heard the entire Kraan album, and its much better than I anticipated. Its live tracks from the last 10 years. Inspired playing and very good sound.

    Michael Sadler & Rachel Flowers - 3 X 2

Michael presents a very special mini set of songs from his very own Clear, as well as from SAGA's Network album, featuring a stellar performance from piano prodigy Rachel Flowers.

Hopeful and inspirational, these beautiful songs speak of love, loss and courage. Be swept away by Michael's timeless voice as he breathes a fresh, yet warmly familiar counterpoint to Rachel's tender and thrilling touch to these much loved classics.

Originally prepared by Rachel for her guest appearance with Michael at Progstock 2018, her achingly beautiful piano renditions are such a delightful surprise, that Michael wanted to preserve every note forever.

An absolute gift to be cherished and shared.

    Overhead: Haydenspark

    https://overheadband.bandcamp.com/ mentions:

After years of hard work, and closing in on the band's 20-year old mark, Overhead are back with the new album Haydenspark, sounding better than ever!

The album is lyrically inspired by recent and current events in the world. The music features strong and catchy melodies and riffs, dynamic beats and is delivered with a Classic Rock sound. The music ranges from Rock, Prog and heavier riffs to more acoustic atmospheres, so the new album has a diverse and intense sound. Virtuosic guitar and drum work, groovy and strong bass lines and deeply emotional and melodic vocals are the tools to build the scenic music, where the atmosphere varies from melancholic to hard-hitting.

The band sounds it's absolute best on this album. Haydenspark combines the sound of the earlier albums with a new and exiting, more guitar-driven direction. The album presents a noticeably more experienced band with catchy hooks that still remains unpredictable and exciting at the same time.
