"No Service" by Roger Floyd
Guy tried to sound as much like Pink Floyd as possible, but do a new concept album as if they'd never broken up and were writing currently. So it's a 70s-sounding Floyd writing about current themes. Seems interesting but I've only listened to a bit:

Progger has a new one called Dystopia. The one available track has a jazz slant. I really liked their last one and have ordered this new one.
Received my copy of this new Fernando Perdomo CD yesterday. A very enjoyable instrumental Prog album.

"Out to Sea" is the debut Instrumental Progressive Rock Album by Fernando Perdomo, guitarist and bassist of The Dave Kerzner Band. The album draws inspiration from classic 70s Art Rock albums by the likes of Steve Hackett, Peter Banks, Steve Howe, and Jan Akkerman. All instruments on the record, save one drum track, were played by Fernando Perdomo including Guitars, Keyboards, Bass, and Drums.
Acclaimed artist Paul Whitehead painted the cover image. Other covers by Whitehead include Trespass, Nursery Cryme, and Foxtrot by Genesis.
The album will be released on CD and Digital February 9, 2018.

Efrim Manuel Menuck, one of the rabble-rousers from Godspeed You! Black Emperor has his own album out called "Pissing Stars". It was well received on Feb 2nd's All Songs Considered, which is amazing for such a mainstream program. To me it sounds like he is intentionally trying to scare little children.

The Kronos Quartet producing new projects at an incredible rate recently. I have been picking up what I can and updating my back catalog with their wide ranging collaborations like Terry Riley, Ashe Bhosi (Bollywood) and Henryk Górecki. My favorites are Uniko with accordionist Kimmo Pohjonen and Ladilikan below.
Ladilikan with Trio Da Kali - Malian traditional music (2017)
Alone - traditional American Music (2017)
The Sea Ranch Songs with Aleksandra Vrebalov - multimedia project (2016)

With the steaming energy they put forth, 36 mins (i.e. ol' time vinyl duration) is simply perfect. I'm seeing their release party on Victoria here in Oslo on March 17., and I'll be expecting some hot-hot-hotness.
Now I'm truly starting to anticipate the new Needlepoint and Hooffoot releases. They should venture on a Lollapalooza together, the three of them. Proggers could attend to tell 'em all how they aren't true prog. All hail and all rise.

^^^ +1 on the new Hooffoot for sure.
Still haven't checked out Needlepoint -- I keep forgetting to.
