    Do Philips Blu-ray players play PAL format DVDs?

    Here in the colonies, that is. Many moons ago I happily discovered that Philips DVD players play PAL discs, critical for me as I d/l many live videos via dime that are in PAL. I recently got a new Philips DVD player (also easily hacked to become region-free) but even more recently upgraded to an HD TV, so now many of my DVDs look, well, fuzzy. I would consider upgrading to a Blu-ray (Philips) if they can handle all my PAL DVDs. So...do they?
