According another thread it seems to be easy to start a kickstarter-page. I'm sure many of us will be willing to participate in pledging for the book, English or French, so you have a bit more financial back-up. You can include the shipping costs in the pledges you offer. Just a thought.

Last year I read Aymeric's book Rock Progressif and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm hugely anticipating his book on the Canterbury scene. I'm curious about the possible amount of extra material on the English version of it.

There may well be a Kickstarter-type pre-sale for the English edition, but details have yet to be finalised. The French edition needs no such thing - the book is coming out in a couple of weeks and will be in bookstores, on Amazon etc. etc. (But preferrable, other than directly from me, is buying direct from the publisher's website at http://lemotetlereste.com/musiques/lecoledecanterbury/ - there will soon be an "order" button added)

Yup, unless a second book was going to be edited (not likely), this was the best solution

I don't know actually, I guess the day Caravan are playing, so Saturday ? The presentation btw will be about Caravan strictly, as I already did a general Canterbury presentation there in 2013.
Yeah, Bernard and Romain confirmed this to me yesterday...

Make sure you bring them along in Soignies, I'll be glad to buy it directly from you...

Most likely, you'll sell a lot of them there.

    Aymeric,
Having spoken to Bernard Vinken, he seems to think you're coming on Saturday, but Caravan is playing Sunday

Just to make sure, here is the programme, such as I've seen it on the PR fb page

    Saturday 24
    MOANING CITIES
    LES GENS DE LA LUNE
    LE ORME
    ALAIN PIRE

    SUNDAY 25
    20.30 CARAVAN (UK)
    18.00 SEVEN IMPALE (NO)
    15.00 FLOYD CHAMBER CONCERTO (FR)
    13.00 THE ABELIANS (BE)
11.45 HAROLD AND THE ROYCE (BE)

So it would look like Sunday for you... if I'm not mistaken...

And indeed Scrotum, Sunday seems (from far) to be the better of the two days

I won't be in Paris, but if you can send me one to Spain I can buy it and cover the postage. Just pass me a PM if you're interested.

Doesn't really matter, as I'll be there both days anyway. I expected my bit to be on the same day as Caravan but it seems not to be the case.

It'll be nice to see Caravan again, especially as they've been playing "The Love In Your Eye" lately, which I've never seen them do.

No, and no plans for English versions sadly, apart from the Canterbury one as mentioned above. There was interest expressed from England re: the Progressive Rock one, but that didn't materialise - probably the cost of paying someone to translate that much text didn't seem to make commercial sense.

Indeed, they (7I) were rather good, though there were a couple sound issues at times during their set.

I don't really think they need a second guitarist, though... They're enough of a "wall of sound" as it is, imho.

    ================

And Caravan played of one their best concerts in a long time...

I saw them some 15 times since 98, but last night was the best one in the last few years (let's say 5 or 6)
