    California Winery Vultures

    California Breed: Hughes, Bonham, Watt
    Winery Dogs: Sheehan, Portnoy, Kotzen
    Crooked Vultures: Jones, Grohl, Homme

Any thoughts welcome on these recent super-power-trios channeling the Zeppelin/Cream/Hendrix thing...

    Your favorite among the three?
Most likely to produce a second album together?
    Grooviest rhythm section?
Least intuitive grouping of odd fellows?

I don't know anything about California Breed, but Them Crooked Vultures and The Winery Dogs are both reportedly working on their 2nd albums. Portnoy has said that The Winery Dogs is his main focus, his #1 priority these days.

That's good to know...wonder if Sheehan and Kotzen are aligned that way, as well.

California Breed might benefit from the energy of Glenn Hughes. He can churn out albums when he's on a roll.

Here are the lead singles from each band's debut album:

Everybody's raving about California Breed. They recently played L.A. and my friends on Facebook were all over it. I'll have to check 'em out soon.
