    R.I.P. Baron Browne

Bassist Baron Browne passed away last Thursday after a battle with brain cancer. Saw him a number of times with Vital Information.

I read this on Jean-Luc Ponty's Facebook feed. Sad news. He played with Ponty and Billy Cobham starting in the 80's.

That sucks! I used to listen to the Vital Information CDs quite a bit. Here's a tune with some great playing by Baron Browne and the band.

I saw him play with Steps Ahead, and he was fantastic.

So sorry to hear about this. He was a great bass player. I saw him with Ponty and with Billy Cobham. According to what Steve Smith has written, Baron was a great person. Rest In Rhythm, Baron...
