Hey Kavus - The Unraveling getting a fresh spin tonight. Better than ever actually tonight. That first instrumental dark melody in "I can Teach you How to Lose a Fight" is just flippin' fantastic - wow - wow. But where the tune goes next is such an amazing transition. I somehow overlooked that tune when the album came out - always liked it - but its as good as a Cardiacs tune tonight.

i'm going to give this a fairer listen tomorrow perhaps...but really what am i missing here? Doesn't sound THAT far removed from The Tangent.

^ Not sure what you're missing, or even looking for? This music may not resonate with you when it comes down to it, which is fine. But don't expect to "get" this album in a spin or two - this record is too dense and deep IMO. But its incredibly beautiful and the arrangements alone are gold. As far as The Tangent goes, the only thing I ever heard by them was the Canterbury medley, which was cool.

This disc was filed away like a pair of olde stained undies for a few months but its now out and about for some re-spinach. One spin down, about 4 or 5 more to come minimum. Yeah Kavus - you bloody fucking wanker cunt - I LOVE this thing!!

Dust this thing off bitches!! I am already loving "Destroy the World..." this time around more than ever.

check out 4:18 in "I'm Hiding Behind my Eyes". Brilliant little section that has a little 'In Praise Cowish' vibe happening.

I put it on my music player to listen while at work and am always delighted when it comes on. I need to polish the album off though. Good use of the bump, Frank.

In a perfect life (haha hehe hoho), this album should have sold as many copies and been enjoyed by as many folks as the new SW album. But WTF do I know? You can answer that.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Sometimes for me putting an album away for a while and then revisiting with a fresh perspective allows it to shine brighter than ever. Can't wait for the next one

The Unravelling’s been hard wired into my non-Apple iPod since last summer. I’m Hiding… is one of the greatest fucking songs I’ve ever heard.

My #1 album of 2014 since getting my mind blown by the "Don't Land on Me" video. AWESOME stuff.

Hell. I can't figure out why SW doesn't sell as many records as Pink Floyd did in the 70s, Knifeworld doesn't sell as many records as SW does now and why no one on this site likes the last Trojan Horse album as much as I. I don't understand basic algebra, either, so I don't, admittedly, understand a lot.

I think it beats the iconically legendary "Cha-cha-cha'h chacha! - Cha-cha-cha'h chacha!" by at least two miles.
