(Forty years ago I fell in love with 2 bands that either stopped touring or had "ceased to exist". I swore back then that if either had ever decided to reform/play again live I would see them every time they hit the NYC/Tri-State area. I have spent an incredible amount of money over the past 3 decades and look forward to spending a load more this summer/fall as I get to see the beauty and ferociousness that are Steely Dan and King Crimson once again. I thank all involved especially Donald, Walter & Robert. I hope the shows don't overlap.)

Probably would have, but at the Newport Jazz Festival road show last week I ran into an old friend who works at Overture who gave me an advance heads-up. Tix don't even go on sale until 4/18, and they still haven't announced it.

Dude, you ought to drive down to Springfield IL, I think the tix are only 39 bucks but the best seats are SRO on the horse track in front of the stage, how cool is that?

At my age, I've (out of physical necessity) started picking my music road trips carefully, and taking advantage of what's shaking locally.

We popped for the $100 tix, since the last 3 times we've seen the dildo dudes we didn't actually see them, but only heard them (Ravinia, IL lawn seats away from a stage view). I previously posted in some other thread that when Aussie Floyd played at the Overture Center (designed by world famous architect Cesar Pelli), they said that it had the best acoustics of any venue they ever played (including the Sydney Opera House!).

As Argent said, "It's Only Money".
