    Mick Brockett

    All

Mick Brockett is undergoing triple bypass surgery today, I was hoping that all inclined would send their prayers, and all others their positive thoughts and energy

Hoping that the Wizard of the Nektar light show pulls through with a speedy recovery

I'm not a religious man so praying prolly won't do, but here's my sincere wishes for a quick recovery. I'll certainly spin some ol' Nektar this upcoming weekend while thinking of him.

Best wishes to Mick from me as well. Though I'm not the big Nektar fan I was when I was much younger, the group still has a place in my heart.

I chatted with Mick when he and JL did a nice little light show/dj thing here in Cleveland what, 2 years ago? Lovely man.
    Hope the worst is past.

    OK guys...... I'M BAAAAAACK !
Sincere thanks to ALL of you for your thoughts, prayers and karma, tho' the surgeon team and pretty nurses at Pocono Medical Center in Stroudsburg have to take most of the credit. They were fantastic.
It was a quadruple by-pass, they found no other problems, so I was up and walking the halls the day after surgery on Tuesday, then home by Saturday. I have to take it easy, can't lift anything over ten pounds or drive for another week. I'm DONE with smoking... all gone... bye-bye (after 55 years of the habit I began at age 9). Kieth Richard is still my poster child, but this was the BIG wake-up call.
As for the Nektar Project site.... it WILL be back when we find the meter to put a shilling in.
There is absolutely NOTHING going on right now anyway, so I became the news instead.... lol.
If it's any consolation, I can't get into the site either, however I will reume the quest next week.
Also, a big shout out to MO, as today (27th) is his birthday!
    Thanks again all,
    Mick Brockett.

Great news, Mick. Take care and you're a smart man for quitting the cancer sticks. The first few weeks are the hardest, and you'll likely never lose the urge (especially after meals and while drinking). But, the longer you're away, the less chance you'll go back. It's all up to you. Once you get your sense of smell back and smell them on everyone else, you'll know you're on your way.
