The Watch play TLLDOB on tour now

Despite my earlier thread criticizing the album, I'm definitely going to see this tomorrow http://www.thewatch.it/test/?page_id=48

They played Seconds Out last year and as long as you can cope with your Phil/Peter having a bit of an Italian accent, they are great. Stevo Hacketta is especially impressive.

I've seen them every UK tour and they're always great. Nice bunch of guys too! I've got all their own material on CD and they are very good too, so if anyone hasn't done so already, check them out. I'm going to their Glasgow show this Sunday night & it should be impressive to see the Lamb performed.

Revporl is right about the guitarist - he plays Horizons on a 12 string acoustic, which is very impressive.

Phil with an Italian accent ruined The Watch's Genesis tribute.

Kinda said that a band that has its own material (didn't it just release another album of originals save for a couple of Genesis covers?) has to tour as a tribute band. Guess it's what enables them to make a living.

I saw them last year at the Robin2 doing their Seconds Out/Trick show.

It was a great time and if the vocals were accented it didn't bother me in the least. My one complaint was that they only played 3 of their own tracks.

I sure hope they come back to the States this year. I've seen them twice and thoroughly enjoyed the shows!!!!

I saw them in Boston a while back too (Lowell Brewery IIRC) - really tight show.

It was a great show in Manchester last night, they really did the material proud. Regarding the comment that it's a shame that a band with original material is only viable as a cover band... the original stuff is sooooo Genesisy, it's a good way for them to raise their profile.
