Oblivion Hymns Echoes CD of the Month

Hammock's epic ambient chamber work, Oblivion Hymns, is the January CD of the Month. These children of Cocteau Twins, Sigur Ros and Arvo Part create a 21st century classic. Hear it tonight on Echoes. Read review and hear trax here. http://wp.me/pgATL-2xh

Great album, more ambient than the last few of theirs.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

And a great piece of work this is, too! Good call on featuring Hammock. I can't explain why, but while listening to this for the first time I felt quite teary-eyed in certain places (such as during Turning Into Tiny Particles… Floating Through Empty Space). Such is the power of great music.

I downloaded this from iTunes. I picked a few tracks from their other releases. Amazing mind music. I'll probably end up dl'ing all of their stuff. Beautiful.

Hard to go wrong with any of them...even the EPs have some absolutely gorgeous moments. For my own absolute faves are Longest Year, Chasing After Shadows & Departure Songs
