Frost* live in the studio style DVD and CD - huzzah!

Hooray! With barely any announcement or publicity, my absolute favourite band (well, along with a dozen or so others ) has released a DVD (and bonus CD) of live-in-the-studio versions and a couple of new songs.

Christmas has come early for me. I can never get enough Frost*, so it's a damn shame they're not more prolific. But this is a nice surprise for those of us who proudly call ourselves Frosties.

I reckon it probably is the only place to buy it, for now. But £12 for DVD and CD seems pretty good value...

Yep, for now. Might be that some US vendors will stock it.

Anyone else think Mitchell is looking more and more like Ernest Borgnine?

    That looks pretty sweet.

Anybody else think Experiments in Mass Appeal is way, way underrated?

It's kinda funny - I didn't really care for it when it was released, but when I heard the live versions on The Philadelphia Experiment, it clicked. Love it now.

I think the live versions of the Experiments in Mass Appeal songs are better than their studio companions. There just seems to be a little more life in them and I do much prefer the live version of the title track.

I think it comes down to Nick D'Virgilio, who plays on The Philadelphia Experiment (and absolutely kills), but does not play on the studio album.

Nope, that's not it. It is the way EIMA is mixed which to my ears sounds quite grating. There is nothing wrong with the songwriting in fact, as I really like the live versions which sound just simply better.

Milliontown kicked my ass, still one of my favorite releases. Experiments, on the other hand, to me, lacked the same level of energy. Not happy to see Andy Edwards isn't behind the drum kit for this, but from what I see, Blundell seems to handle it pretty well. All said and done, I really like their work, glad to see them still putting out material.

Just to say, I never heard of Blundell before, just looked him up, go easy on me boys, the guy clearly knows his way around a kit

I liked EIMA from the get go. The only issue I had with it was the first two songs start out tame, and then blam you upside the head without warning. Kind of like Hyperventilate does. Milliontown is my favorite, tho. Will be getting the new release soon.

If any of you haven't seen the Blunder's and Jem speak and spell duet from last year's Christmas do, you've missed out:
